This is a great disk. The band really cooks and Ian really kicks butt! They really do play as a band, this is a solid and hard-rockin' effort, they are tight. There are some instrumentals and some fusion-influenced parts, but mainly it's like a road-tested bar band with great chops. More straight-ahead compared to Saga. Ian plays his heart out. I like it!

Ian Crichton is not only one of Canada's best guitarists, but he is one of the best in the world. This recording highlights all of the styles he has mastered--blues, rock, jazz, classical--along with some of the most schizoid playing ever heard in music. Think of Jeff Beck, Robert Fripp, and Trevor Rabin combined, and you would be close. His style is unique, and the music on WELOCME TO THE BOOM BOOM ROOM takes enormous risks--and it pays off in spades. Ian Crichton is truly one of Canada's hidden gems.

I'm also very happy to have found this cd. I've been looking here and on Ebay for it and it's very pricey...i've seen it for sale between 50$ to 100$. My wife found it the other day for 3.99 $US on Ebay. She jumped on the bidding and won it for that price ! What a great find !!!

this is a very rare cd it took me a year of trying to finally get it. WOW!!! i have some old saga music,it's good but on this cd ian kicks butt, right up there with the likes of, "van halen" and other great guitarists, you will be blown away from the first track on, this great white north guitarist, gives canada all he's got on this disk, a got to have, like i said grab it while you can very hard to find, a little pricey but well worth it
