5.0 out of 5 stars Another skankin' blast!, August 29, 2002

Because The Busters' works have varied in style through time, they may have alienated quite a few diehard ska fans. However, if you are just a casual ska listener like myself and just happen to stumble onto them, you'll become a fan instantly. One of the main reasons I've clung on to this band so tightly over the years is that every album sounds fresh and is great fun. The perils and pitfalls of success never numbed their talents nor deterred them from making every song a party. Never more so does that apply than on this album. "Let's Talk About..." and "Beast of the Night" are two of my favorite Busters tunes, and unlike most current musical artists, their songs never lose their punch with time.

Unfortunately, for reasons being probably financially related, their followup CD (360 Degrees) is released solely in Europe and can not be purchased here in the states (yet). Having heard all of the tunes from the new album, it is a little mesh of everything from traditional Busters to ska to straight reggae (featuring reggae maestro Dr. Ring-Ding on two tunes). It is truly an amazing CD and another classic from these guys.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Even The S.O.S., October 13, 2000

It's a shame that Sexy Money was so ill-recieved. The Busters have been overly defending their ska roots ever since, reluctant to venture from no-soul "toaster's" ska. This album and their last, Make a Move, is just more of the same ol'. Check out Stompede, however, a late-career gem.
