This is a VERY bad album. Who ever does not think so is just not a REAL music fan!
(also it does not matter HOW BIG you type your words the album is GARBAGE!)

Where do I start, well for one when I heard this album I could not get past the lack of creativeness in the lyrics. Do your self a favor and get a album from a REAL artist like Jill St. Soul.

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASY ISLAND, March 26, 2002

ADINA HOWARD UNRELEASED WELCOME TO FANTASY ISLAND IS A VERY GOOD CD TO LISTEN AND MAKE OUT TO. ADINA MATURED VOCALLY AND YOU CAN HEAR AND FEEL HER SEXUAL, SENSUAL PROWLESS VOICE ALL OVER THESE TRACKS. THE GUEST APPEARANCES SUCH AS K-CI, MISSY ELLIOT AND BIZZY BONE MAKES THE CD EVEN MORE DESIRABLE.ADINA IS AT HER BEST. TRACKS LIKE T-SHIRT AND PANTIES,DON'T COME TO FAST, AND PERSONAL FREAK AS WELL AS THE OTHERS WOULD MAKE YOU FEEL VERY SENSUAL. THE ADINA SOPHMORE EFFORT WOULD OF DEFINITELY MADE SOME NOISE AND TOO BADD ADINA DIDN'T GET THE PRAISED SHE DESERVED.

She has been one of the most dominante females in the music industry yet. One of the greatest woman refered to by all who sing about love, sex and independency. The world is not ready for her skill and outspokeness. Back in te 90's they were not ready. But now in the year Y2G- We need here now more than ever. So bring on MZ. Howard.!!!!! Love all here music...including this one. One of the most innovative albums today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Adina Howard's "Fantasy Island" a treat for fans, May 17, 2002

Her sophomore lp (unreleased by Elektra Records) is an impressive second album showcasing Adina's growth as an artist. As she collaborated with a variety of producers (as one interview called, "the album is like a cocktail"), from Missy Elliott & Timbaland, to Billy Moss & Jamie Foxx to Somethin' For The People, Adina's style has never been more vibrant. The first sizzling club-ready single "[Freak] And U Know It", produced by DJ Quik is a great sequel to her 1995 hit "Freak Like Me". Other tracks worth mentioning are "Personal Freak", a duet w/rapper Bizzy Bone, "Crank Me Up" featuring Missy Elliott, "Lay Him Down", "Sexual Needs" (written by R&B singer Ginuwine, produced by Timbaland), and the sensual erotic fan-favorite, "T-Shirts & Panties" (previously released on the soundtrack to the 1998 film "Woo"). Elektra's decision to not release this project was one bad move, amongst their various bad decisions, since it shows Adina at her best: an emerging fantasy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finally Heard It Today And......, May 8, 2004

I think its better than her first album "Do You Wanna Ride?" (and by the way, what is REAL music is all relative to the perception of the listener).

None of Adina's albums stink in my view but this middle one may have been stronger than the first. I don't think its better than the new one that's out now "The Second Coming." Remember, Fantasy Island was never released in the U.S. but was available overseas where it did pretty well I heard.

If you liked her first album, you'll probably like this one too as it is pretty much the same lines only a bit stronger. Adina's voice especially comes out during mid-tempo to slow type songs.

Adina's best album in my opinion! I found this classic in ebay a few months ago after searching for awhile. Well I was not dissapointed at all, these songs have an instant hook on you and sound better than any cheap pop singer today! Forget J/LO Britney, exc. Adina has way more to offer, why this album was shelved is still a mystery to this day, with a little editing and reworking this album could of have gained Adina huge sucess and the critical praise she deserves!
