What do I do about a co-worker that continually undemrines m my reputation? I've gone to leadership but they write me up and promote her although I have emails she sent slandering me to the organization. When I was her supervisor she did the same thing with other co-workers she was in competition with.
It looks like no one has any advice for you. I have been in this situation. I left, and moved on. It is a kind of victory over that situation to go ahead and do better. Of course, I realize that jobs are scarce these days, unless you open your own business. It sounds like you are in a 'corporate' setting. I wish you good luck - don't let them get you down, grizzly bear!
if you have examined your heart and know you are doing your best and not acting in a negative way towards your co-worker-- go to them and tell them you want to improve your relationship and learn to work together better. Tell them you believe there must be a misunderstanding, or that they must be suffering in some way and you would like to do what you can to make them more comfortable. This takes a lot of unselfish courage. But negative behavior can be defused with kindness.
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately I am not safe in going to her. She twists everything, including saying when I give her instructions she is bad, bad, bad. It is not possible to be bad when I am instructing you. You need to produce something or not to be bad. I believe this is God working on my character and leadership competencies.
Just outlive her. It's all you can do in the corporate world. People eventually move up or away to another department. Outliving them is the reward of patience and tolerance. It also drives them crazy!
