Review

Millions are telecommuting and some books promote the process; but this is the first to thoroughly integrate the concept with the nuts and bolts of the hardware and software required. Chapters cover everything from choosing business-appropriate spreadsheet and word processing programs to buying the basics and identifying peripherals essential to productivity. -- Midwest Book Review

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a valuable -- and humorous! -- resource., May 19, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Welcome To...Home-Based Business Computing (Paperback)
Although this book was published in 1995, and thus information regarding the latest equipment is out of date, this is still an extremely valuable resource for anyone seeking nuts and bolts information about what equipment to choose when setting up a home office. Not only that, but unlike most books of this type, the tone is not dry, but rather is refreshingly humorous (without being condescending or silly). I have not seen another book published since that is as useful for the person wanting to make sure that his or her home office is a livable, workable space.
