God's light shines brightly in Brian Littrell!,
By Jersey Girl (NJ, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome Home (Audio CD)
Brian's solo album is a blessing and his passion for God shines so brightly on this album! He could have turned to non christian music but instead stayed close to his heavenly father!
Contemporary songs mixed with songs of praise for God and jesus make for one fantastic album! If you are christian I think you will love it and even if you are NOT a believer in God you will STILL enjoy it! Fantastic!

Finally A Solo Debut!,
This review is from: Welcome Home (Audio CD)
Brian Littrell, a member of the successful boyband Backstreet Boys, finally decides to release a solo album, just like fellow band member Nick Carter did a few years ago. On "Welcome Home" Brian proves what we already knew, that he's an exellent singer but also a good composer, Brian wrotes half of the songs. Most songs are confessional and deeply personal that deals with love, religion and past experiences. Being mostly a "Christian" Album it's obviusly diffrent from the pop/rock sound of Backstreet Boys but still it's a pretty good album. Brian's purpuse of this solo expriment was undoubltly to record something personal where he could perform something that he never would have been able to with the band, it won't become a hit and neither of the songs will get airplay on the commercial radio stations, but that is beyond the point. After over a decade with the Backstreet Boys he finally releases a personal solo effort where he tackles his religious belives and past experiences and makes a album of it all. For those that likes the Backstreet Boys, this could be something interesting to purchase but also for those that bought Nick Lachey's "What's Left of Me". Best songs here are "My Answer Is You" that sound a little like the neo sound of the band, the title track that is a catchy midtempo, "I'm Alive" that is contemporary rock and the jazzy "We Lift You Up" that gives his beautiful voice justice and a little help from backround choirs. Regardless of the fact that this aint a commerical pop album, it's a good purchase from a great vocalist that finally released his first solo album. 4/5 stars.

Welcome Home - Brian Littrell Review,
This review is from: Welcome Home (Audio CD)
this cd is really inspirational and makes you realize things about life that you would have never thought of..i have loved brian ever since the backstreet boys started..so obviously i would love the album..but it's an amazing cd other wise. i'd recommend it to anyone whose a fan of the backstreet boys or if you like slow meaningful songs. it's cute how he incorporated his son onto the cd.. and i love how some songs are accappella.. that shows that he can ACTUALLY sing..if you don't already own it.. then i hope you do go out and get it because it's worth it.
