Im not a huge fan of progressive metal, but this song made me reconsider!! It is right now my favorate song of all time!! I can't beleive I never gave it a chance earlier. To think im just hearing it playing "Rock Band", lol. Anyway's i'd perfer the explict version proboly because it's longer, which with any other song would make me wanna change it, but thats not the case with "Welcome Home", after all the singing is done(after about three minutes), the guitar riffs and solo's are amazing
!(Another three minutes). Overall I gave "Welcome Home" a 5/5 rating, making it one of the alltime top metal hits on my playlist. Lol.

Relentless, unforgiving, brutal--and that's what's drawing listeners to the hit single of Coheed and Cambria's album, "Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Vol. One" (also featured in the video game "Rock Band"). Once you figure out what lead vocal Claudio Sanchez is actually saying, it adds to the clash of guitars and drums. Hearing the song from beginning to end, however, one would agree that both the beginning and the end are dragged out. Yes, the band can really play the guitar, we get it! If anything, the 4 minute radio edit would've been better for the album; yes, it cuts out the demons and hellfire for public listening, but it gets to the point.
