I remember Walter's music from the '60's, especially this album which has nothing but great cuts. The soul that comes out of this man cannot be compared to anyone before or since...and the voice that transmits it is incomparable as well. It's truly unfortunate that the Walter Jackson discography is so limited, but 'Welcome Home', of itself, gives us an immensely satisfying taste of the man.

No one can do it like Walter Jackson! His smooth, sensual voice and profound lyrics make you feel like he is in the room with you. You can feel his pain/pleasure in every song. Grab this CD - it is a collection of his best work. Listen to it with someone you love, grab the wine, and enjoy!

I got to Hear His stuff when I was a Little boy thanks to My Mother.back then Radio gave everybody a chance&you had to bring the goods&Walter Jackson did.He had a Cool Vocal Delievery.the music is still very soulful&right on time.Artists like Him shouldn't be overlooked they have alot going for them if given a fair chance.

CD arrived in super fast time. Was as advertised and in great condition. Very happy with this transaction and would buy again from this seller!

Oh, what a voice! I accidentally stumbled upon a cassette copy of a Walter Jackson "hits" collection back in the early 90s and loved it to death. Great songs ... and oh, what a voice. Really, this is the sort of voice that stops people in their tracks: powerful, melodic, and magical. One of those guys who could sing the phone book and make it sound fabulous. This is a great compilation of songs by Walter Jackson. Any fan of 60s R&B or soul should check it out. Still a mystery why this guy was not better known.

I ordered two copies of this for my senior ladies. They were excited to get a copy of this CD. The CD's were in great shape.

I grew up listening to the wonderful Dowop and R&B of the 50s and 60s. Don't know how I could have missed Walter Jackson? I heard one of his songs by chance and did a little research then ordered this collection from Amazon. Wow! This artist should have been as big as Jackie Wilson, or Sam Cooke, or Marvin Gaye! He had the smoothness along with that awesome range. I think he suffered by not having the quality of writers the big names had. Through no fault of his own, a number of the songs come across a bit awkward and poorly crafted. But, with the right material Walter is cream of the crop! Excellent jewel of a find, this CD.

I love hearing Walter Jackson pour out his heart in these songs on his cd. They sound so good and mellow. "That's What My Mama Said" I could play that song over and over. Great voice and a great cd.

I have listened to the CD so often that it is a wonder I have not worn it out if that were possible.
