I am disappointed. The only animals covered are 1 bug, a tree sloth and a frog. It's primarily plants and leaves. So if you're hoping for animals, this is not it. Also, it is more of a substantial pamphlet than a book. Otherwise, it's okay.

As you can see from the title, I love this book. Although I am partial to dragons, I found doing the frog portion a boat load of fun. I also never thought that making leaves Christi's way would be so cool. I've made plenty of bugs in my day, but hers are simple, easy to adapt to your style and look really wild when you are done.
Her wonderful humor is sprinkled throughout and she offers many tips, techniques and projects. There is a whole lotta bang for your buck in her books!
Can't wait until October for her Sea Life one! Yep, we begged, she listened and is upping the delivery schedule... How cool is that?

Whether you are new to polymer clay or a seasoned pro you will enjoy the witty writing of Christi Friesen. The instructions and colorful illustrations will guide you to create OUTSTANDING creations! There is nothing better than incorporating beads and other objects into your sculptures. Christi will take your polymer clay experience to a whole new level. If you are looking for something different, something new... something exciting... then look no further as you have just found it. I have been working with polymer clay for 15 years and find Christi's style and work a refreshing "drink of water". Come one, come all... you will be thrilled by this 2nd book in the series.

What I love about this author/teacher's method is that none of the instructions are 'carved in stone'. There is no 'best' way of doing things, only the 'creative' way. Perfection isn't the key, fun and enjoyment are. I thoroughly have enjoyed this book and the previous, Dragons, and look forward to purchasing every following book :)

This book is one of my favorite Polymer Clay books of all time! Finding Christi Friesen and her wonderful techniques has given me so much enjoyment in my art. Christi's explanations and pictures of step-by-step instruction are unmatched as far as I'm concerned. And she's a very funny lady! You will enjoy this...it's a must-have for the Polymer artist.

My second favorite book is Under the Sea
Under the Sea (Beyond Projects: The CF Sculpture Series, Book 3)

I had seen this book in a store while out of town and on a strict budget. When I got home I checked my local haunts and it was no where to be found. Bummer. A friend suggested Amazon. Sure enough, there it was, I bought this one and one other, I plan to purchase the rest as soon as possible. Amazon was the perfect price including shipping and it arrived a day sooner than estimated. I live in a very small town in Northern CA. I have to travel 75 miles to the nearest craft store for supplies. From now on, I will check out Amazon before making the long haul and spend my money on goodies instead of fuel!

Cf is both funny and instructional in her books and Jungle is no exception. She has done it again.

I purchased Christi Friesen's polymer clay books on Dragons and Under the Sea. I was very impressed with both. This particular book... not so much. I expected a bunch of jungle animals to be able to make but the majority of the book was plants, leaves, etc. I doubt I'll do any of the projects out of this book because they are just not my thing. It is still packed full of Christi's wonderful pictures and instructions.

CF provides clear instructions for even the beginning sculptor. She also has a great sense of humor which shines through in her books.

I have the whole series and they are all great. The Author gives you the basic info to make the project, embellishment ideas and your on your way.
