He gets away with his life, his car repaired good enough to get him to Little Rock, and a twenty-four gap in his memory, only to be drawn back by nightmares and deja vu flashes as puzzling as they are frightening. Brief Bio:
Hello fellow readers and writers. I'm a 'southern' author: born in Hot Springs, Arkansas; grew up in Memphis, Tennessee; and now live with my family in Arkansas near Little Rock. All my books but one take place in the south. Though I'm published in several genres my favorites are cozy mysteries and romance/suspense.They are listed on Amazon; B&N and can be ordered from book stores (no S&H if you pick up the book at the Book store, just like Amazon). The onlyl way I heard about this is a reader came to me with one she'd ordered from B&N and was glad to see she could do this (so was I :-). Nearly all of my list is available as e-books.
Please come visit my page and blog. You can always find my books here on Amazon so your comments and input is welcome and appreciated.I love meeting fellow readers and writers.)

5.0 out of 5 stars WELCOME TO LAZARUS - A GOOD READ, January 16, 2008
By
Del Garrett (Jacksonville, AR) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome to Lazarus (Paperback)
Bob Smith was lucky enough to land a job as a news reporter in Little Rock, Ark. His luck didn't last, at least when it came the old car he owned. Broken down in the seemingly tranquil town of Lazarus, his curiosity was aroused by the "birthday boy" sitting next to him on a bench. In a short conversation Bob had learned the man was celebrating his 128th birthday. The gent didn't look a day over ... well, he didn't look that old. Neither did the pretty girl at the hotel or the kid riding his bicycle near the Dairy Delight. Lazarus was a town full of "young" people who had found their very own Fountain of Youth.

But that was a secret the whole town will kill to protect and Bob, after all, was a reporter. The town had to do something to keep the story quiet. What happens next makes for some very intense moments for Bob and the readers of WELCOME TO LAZARUS.

Jackie Griffey spins a tale of intrigue that will scare the pants off some, and delight everyone who loves the mystery/horror genres. Danger and deja vu make this book a page turner you can't put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars A NEW GENRE?, January 13, 2008
Reporter Bob Smith, thanks to car trouble on his way to Little Rock, was forced to spend the night in the little town of Lazarus, Arkansas. He shared a bench at the Dairy Delight with a man who was wished a happy birthday by all the locals who passed. Just when I'd decided this must be a new genre - cozy horror(?) Bob learned the man was a hundred and twenty-eight and the plot thickened. Though the locals were suspicious of reporters, Bob investigated and got close enough to the truth to be dangerous. He managed to get out of Lazarus alive, his car patched up enought to get to Little Rock, and a twenty-four hour gap in his memory. The nightmares, deja vu flashes and his search for those lost hours will keep you turning pages as he finds love and the stalking horror finds him for a stunning climax. From M. L. Holland, The North Shelby Times, Memphis, Tennessee.
