It takes his music to another level, mixing gutsy, guitar-driven rock, sophisticated pop and brilliant love songs to God.From the opening Lennon-McCartney-esque title track, with its humorous, self-conscious lyrics and deceptively simple four-beat structure, to the ingenious and edgy "Void," the album displays an impressive range of styles.Exploring the Scriptures and the ups-and-downs of his own spiritual journey, Matt praises his Redeemer with a poetry that's not forced or syrupy. "Set Me As a Seal" stands out. This drop-dead gorgeous duet blends Matt's distinctive, gritty voice with Jenny Pixler's silky one in a testament to the "unquenchable" flame of God's love. I have three of Matt Maher's CDs (Welcome to Life, Overflow, and The End and the Beginning) and I love them all. In fact, it's all I want to listen to. The music and the words are amazing. I find myself singing along to every song.

This cd is amazing!! It has little different sound from Matt's first album, but it is a great cd. It is very upbeat and inspirational. I definitely recommend it!

Matt Maher's second CD. This is a great one which I've played over and over and over again since purchasing it a year and a half ago. You can find it at http://[...]. Every Christian woman should consider having Set Me As A Seal played at her wedding a lovely duet. From the Beatlesque opening track to the rocker Void to the last note this is an awesome CD! I love EVERY song. This has been in my car for the last year and I play it and sing along all the time.
