An easy fun introduction to your telescope and the moon,
This review is from: Welcome to the Moon! (Astronomy) (Paperback)
A well written 'how to' for novice astronomers. The book describes pieces of the telescope to seas of the moon in a organized fashion. Chapters are broken out as views of the moon and each attraction is mapped with directions. Historical anecdotes accompany each chapter and give good perspective to what we are viewing. The author respects the reader- there are no excessive words and he assumes intelligence. It makes you want to know more about the moon!

This review is from: Welcome to the Moon! (Astronomy) (Paperback)
This is a book I would add to my astronomy collection which I did. It is a simple book and doesn't have any fancy color pictures. I was able to find objects very easily with his drawings. The book is set up for novice, learning your telescope, then learning the land marks, craters, mountains and the sea's or Maria's on the Moon. He discusses where the US moon landing were, what you will see each day through a scope. The book has a great glossary, and a template for moon observations.
