Urban fantasy is my favorite reading. After years of writing romances I finally switched to writing what I love to read.

Vampire Career, first novel of the Turning Vampire series, is set in vampire country, the Olympic Peninsula. Suspense plus a bizarre romance. A fan wrote, "Cute guy. He reminds me of my DH." Now I want to meet her DH.

Demonspell is the first novel of the Sunspinner series and is across town from Mudflat. The heroine would like a lovelife but that is hard to do when the family is being attacked by demons. So far no fan thinks the demons are cute.

The Mudflat series combines sword and sorcery with a neighborhood in Seattle where old magic runs amuck through the families. The first book, Tarbaby Trouble, won the 2009 EPIC Award for Best Fantasy. Two of the five other titles were finalists in 2010. Fans all say the same thing: "Love the hero!" and a reviewer for PNR insists the books should be made into movies.

Nine Horoscope-in-Catsup Stories, Steampunk Man and More, and Steampunk Widow and More are collections of short stories, many first printed in magazines and anthologies.

Beastly Week is the new Tarvik and Claire novel.

Switching away from paranormal is the Chicago 1890s series. The first novella, Rudy, Looking for Love, received stellar reviews. They kind of say it all.
