I remember falling in love with this film when it first aired on TV several years ago. I taped it then, and wore out my tape watching it. I was thrilled to see it on DVD, so I bought it. I hadn't seen it in years, but it was as good as I remembered it.

Delane Matthews and Mel Harris each give wonderful performances, as does Ian Ziering. This movie is just fun to watch!

Shelley Long is amazing though! This movie made me remember why I used to love her so much. She is hilarious! Her character is such fun to watch.

I highly reccomend this movie to people looking for some laughs. Especially if you have some fond memories of Shelley Long.

We ordered this movie thinking it might provide some nice entertainment and found it so delightful we watched it a second time the next night. Picture three "over the hill" gals amidst spring break in Florida. Filmed in the San Diego area, it depicts three latethirtysome ladies in a funk that somehow get their zest for life back after all of the madcap twists and turns in the movie. Mel Harris has never been lovlier and Shelley Long, although more wrinkled, still has that brightly expressive face. For men, there's lots of scantily clad bikini babes in many of the shots and for women, it's a great, feel good romp and the three lady stars get their respective romantic due. Go for it!

4.0 out of 5 stars 3.5 stars really, September 13, 2006
This review is from: Welcome to Paradise (DVD)
An entertaining film about three girlfriends that have had enough with their relationships back home and decide to go on vacation together. They decide to return to a beach resort known as a destination for young people who are looking for flings. Their plans for a dream holiday are placed on hold when they end up in a rundown motel with oversexed young adults. Each is faced with temptation: the married woman with an eager young man; the career woman with a man who could ruin her; and the freshly divorced woman with an old flame. The acting is very good even if the plot is predictable and thin at times. The movie is purely for guilty pleasure viewing and rather like a Jackie Collins book in celloid. Great as long as you know what you are getting.
