Welcome Race Fans,

This album is Dakoda's follow-up to "Into the Son." It's is more classic 60's rock styled then their first album, and it provides only two main stlyes on the album, Rock and Country. In comparison to their first album "Into the Son," which shows versitility,"Welcome race fans" Offers content in its deeper lyrics.

I was very lucky and I saw Dakota Motor Co. in concert long, long ago. I fell in love with their sound and I have both of thier albums. I wish they would come out with something else but I'm not sure that they are stll a band. I would buy more and more if I knew of any. You would enjoy this happy altnative band. Their swell!

All i can say is that these guys are great. (were, since the band no longer is). If you like catchy tunes or driving guitar you like this. it has a taste of classic rock with a grunge twist. nice stuff.

A bit grungier than Into the Son but still good,

Dakoda Motor Co.'s first album, Into the Son, had a bit more of a fun surfer pop music feel to it. This is a bit grittier pop with a lot of distortion guitar and heavier drums, but it's still upbeat and fun.
The back-to-back solos on "Trip to Pain" send shivers down my spine. Sometimes the lyrics are a bit silly ("Truth," for example, has some of the most preachy over-the-top Christian lyrics ever). Nevertheless, the instrumentals and vocals more than make up for the lyrics deficiencies (ever really listen to the lyrics of the Beatles song "Hello Goodbye"? case in point).

I was SO excited to find this CD on here I've been looking for it for a while now. It's a great CD for anyone who likes Christian rock from the 90's. Awesome lyrics and a fun beat!

I love the lyrics. I love the extended blues-based guitar runs (with wah wah!) It's hard to feel bad after listening to this CD. They go at Jesus very earnestly, but also with a sense of humor. You need this stuff. SALTY!

Dakoda Motor Co. - Welcome Race Fans,
By A Customer
This review is from: Welcome Race Fans (Audio CD)
This album is a very good piece of music! Dakoda Motor Co. is not one of the most popular christian groups ever, but they are still a great band. The instruments, which has a rock-grunge kind of sound, along with a country twang, blends with the cool lyrics and the singer's voice (she has a nice voice, and sometimes a man sings). My favorite tracks are 'Alive' (no, not P.O.D.), 'Uglier', and 'Where Did It Go?'.

Not their best work.,

Dakota Motor Company debuted several years ago with a hot, lively first album, "Into the Sun"; that earned them some recognition which prompted the broader release of this, their second album. With this release they lost the vibrance that had made "Into the Sun" unique and brilliant and replaced it with a loud, graceless "hard rock".
