The Parisian Practice LAN Architecture has designed a head office for Marchesini Francein Paris. The office is composed of two distinct structures, one contains flexible work spaces, the other encloses a showroom, maintenance space and storage areas. The entrance is defined by the intersection of the two structures. The office spaces are raised above ground level to give a sense of floating while below the workshop is anchored to the ground, giving a feeling of solidarity. Delivered in 2008, the completed project is detailed here and its performance is explored from many perspectives.
