Best album from the non-Woolly era,
By Randy Andy (Toitenwinkel) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome to the Show (Audio CD)
Whilst not everyone is too sure about the direction BJH was taking after keyboardist Woolly Wolstenholme left the band in in 1979 (and has now returned to record songs with his old friend John Lees, see "Nexus" and "Revival Live"), there is little ambivalence about this masterpiece. Much more guitar-orientated. Well-balanced material, from heavy rock to Chicago-like ballads. Tight production. Brillant vocal harmonies. Was a Top 10 album in Germany, France and Switzerland.
