Stephen King, the author who started the whole Kindle 2 sales promotion, has decided to REMOVE the text-to-speech feature of the Stand, and that is why the Kindle edition is temporarily not available. I don't think people who would want audio books would refrain from their purchase in order to listen to the Kindle voice instead. I would not buy any book that has this new feature disabled. Especially from the author who started the whole Kindle 2 promotion.
I just started reading King and plan to read The Srand next. I'm currently reading 11/22/63. My question...should I put it on my Kindle or read the actual book.I understand there are some pics in the book and don't want to miss out on the complete experience of reading it. Pcs on a digital device are never quite the same to me.
