5.0 out of 5 stars Tech kills it once again November 8, 2011
Format:Audio CD
Tech N9ne has been puttin it down in hip-hop for a really long time now. Tech just released Welcome To Strangeland which is another cd in his series of collabo albums, but this time all the collaborations are limited to Strange Music artists such as Brotha Lynch Hung, Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Young Bleed, Jay Rock, and Stevie Stone and Strange Affiliates such as Prozak and CES CRU. Tech does what he does best on this collabo album and just flows, him and Lynch always go good together so the two songs with Brotha Lynch Hung definitely standout as two of the better tracks, Tech and Lynch should seriously consider making a joint EP 2gether cause they mesh 2gether very well. This album is worth buying for any fan of the Ninna and anyone who is not real familiar with Tech N9ne and would like to check him out, trust me you will not be disappointed and you definitely will get your money worth. It is amazing how Tech keeps releasing so much new material it remains dope and does not really ever become watered down.
My Top 5 Tracks
1. The Noose Featuring MAYDAY
2. Sad Circus Featuring Brotha Lynch Hung and Courtney Kuhnz
3. My Favorite Featuring Prozak and Brotha Lynch Hung
4. Stars
5. Overwhelming Featuring Jay Da 3RD

5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy November 11, 2011
Format:MP3 Music
I agree with most of the other comments here in regards to the album being really good. However... I disagree with a lot of the ratings. The track "my favorite" is one of the best here. All 3 verses went in. Brotha Lynch always spits heat and that song was no different.

But yes, buy it. Well worth the money. One of his best albums where he collaborates.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is what I needed to be listening to all year December 30, 2011
Format:Audio CD
I don't have any good excuse for not listening and purchasing Tech N9Ne's music all this time. When I was in school in Missouri, Kansas City students went HARD for him. They were so dedicated that I came home trying to introduce him to Chicago friends. I think in some ways he was ahead of his time because it took way too long for people to know him without having to point out song after song. In some ways, I'm glad he's still not mainstream. It means I can enjoy listening to quality music without him trying to go pop and make garbage songs. (Forgive me. I'm really annoyed about another CD I heard earlier today from two quality lyricists who only did three good songs in a selection of eleven and had the audacity to complain about leaks.)

Here's the thing that Tech N9Ne proves. If you put out a great product, people will buy. People will respect your music. This entire CD was full of quality songs, especially "The Noose." I love that he's doing songs about current events. Who else is doing quality music about the soldiers in Iraq and still managing to have hot beats AND relevant material? He can rap his butt off, and he could've gone the route of ignorant lyrics, but he didn't (on this CD anyway, can't speak for some of the others). I really respect him for letting folks know he's married and proud of it. Yeah, he'll get his dance on and party on, but at no point during the CD did I wonder, "Hey, is he still in a relationship with Nina?" He's not disrespecting her or dismissing her. There aren't too many rappers out today who give listeners the impression it's cool to be married.

He made party tracks. Conscious tracks. Aggressive tracks. Fun tracks. And he did it all without selling his soul for a dollar. I'm about to end 2012 buying ALL of his CDs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where the darkness breeds December 6, 2011
Format:Audio CD
Think KOD, with a seriously sexual bent, some of the most addictive hooks and grooves Tech has to offer, and lots of great guest spots. If you've never heard a Tech N9ne collabo album, then you likely think these review ratings are inflated. But I assure you that that isn't the case. These albums are treated with as much care as Tech's primary releases. And if you have enjoyed any of Tech's darker releases, this will please you with ease. I'm not sure how the man continues to achieve such amazing highs amid the sheer amount of music he creates. Nonetheless, he's done it again. A must own album, if ever there was one.

5.0 out of 5 stars SICK!!!!!!!! September 25, 2012
Format:MP3 Music|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is one of my favorite Tech N9ne Albums! Not because my boy Jomeezius the Geneius produced 4 tracks on this CD, but because every song goes hard! The Noose and Beautiful Music are my top 2 picks but the whole album bangz!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this album! June 10, 2012
Format:Audio CD
One of Tech's best CDs after "all sixes and sevens". I swear every CD he puts out gets better and better. I love seeing him grow as an artist. He even makes a song for his fans on this album ( track 14). If you don't have this CD, your collection is incomplete.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing interesting here except Tech N9ne's flow May 23, 2012
By Dutch
Format:Audio CD
This one is decent; there are some songs that are interesting but nothing really captivates or hits hard. This is a feature album where Tech N9ne is the really only interesting one there, due to his fast flow and arrogance. The production is adequate, with a heavy bass and dark atmosphere. There is no strong beats and the similarities in the overall tone rather drowns out the album and creates boredom. Tech N9ne and the several features perform decently but there is no real deepness or relevance connected to the tracks. Although, some tracks have solid direction. This is a casual album excluding a playful nature and interesting content.
