It is not her typical music and I love it. It is great and shows all of the haters and non believers that she can sing and is talented. Blue dress is beautiful, Get me off is fun and upbeat and walking on thin ice is also a great song. This EP gives you a peek at what is to come from Tila and it shows what she is capable of! She can do anything musically. she can do dance, rap, and darker material. I can see this music (especially blue dress) on the Grind House movie soundtrack or the new movie Machete. The only thing was I wish it was a full album this little taste of her music is such a tease! But I love it! more great music from Tila please!

Lets go through each song...

1. Blue Dress - Tila does a decent job at singing this song, I will admit. I don't think I can sing that way nor will I ever try. It just doesn't sound as polished as I think an artist can sound (when really good) and it just never goes anywhere for me. Its very one leveled and I would like to have heard dynamics. Now is this because Tila can't really sing or is it how the original song went, I don't know. And yes, this is a cover which Tila does forget to mention anywhere. The original song was by Depeche Mode and done really well.

2. Get Me Off - Now if you ever heard of a broken record..this song would be part of it. Well it just sounds like she is trying to Britney Spears and honestly, Britney does it so much better. I don't like this sound personally on anyone (I wish Britney would step away from it) but Tila is obviously trying really hard to have this sound of a low alto voice as part of the non-chorus lines. It just doesn't sound natural at all.

3. Walking on thin ice - This just sounds like a bad karaoke slow song. I hate when anyone sings something mellow during karaoke in general, but Tila is any alto trying to sing in a Soprano range. This doesn't work at all and her voice just sounds stranded and the pitches barely get made.

All in all, don't spend your [...] on Tila's music. Not because of who she is, but because there are other artists (both mainstream and indie) that really can sing a lot better than Tila. Check out Amanda Blank if you want a mix of rap and singing. Go download someone else.
