1.0 out of 5 stars One of the worst books ever written
Perhaps a failed attempt at comedy, as is indicated by the poorly constructed title, Welcome to the USSA offers nothing we haven't seen before, with the exception that it's written so poorly it's just painful to read.

The content is nothing more then reiterated commentary and laughable conspiracies. This book serves as a collectors item from vanity publishers'...

5.0 out of 5 stars Disturbing, August 7, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Welcome to the USSA: Corruption in the government and media (Paperback)
I stumbled acrosss this book while researching another subject. The description caught my attention but the reviews are what prompted me to purchase it. The first two reviews, both saying the same thing, applauding the author while the third summed the book up as a collection of baseless conspiracy theories woven tegether with the fabric of a dillusional mind. These two extremes in opinion showed me that someone did not do their research, and I was hooked.

I have read this book fully twice and am now reading a third time, taking notes and researching the authors claims. So far, unfortunately, some of the claims that he is making in this work are easily verifiable through a simple google search. Others are harder to confirm and to be honest, somewhat exhausting to find. The main theme I am finding is that none of his claims are are verified by the MAJOR media outlets in the U.S. They are however supported by independant and foriegn media and sorting the reputable independant outlets from the not so reputable ones is a challenge, but worth it if you are serious about gaining knowledge on current and past events. Some of the claims in this book are not entirely his either, they are the claims of foriegn media outlets who have described the U.S. media as nothing more that a "propganda machine". They cite many events that make news worlwide that are never given mention in the U.S. I think that the latest events surrounding Rupert Murdoch and his global news empire and more specifically FOX NEWS' willingness to distort facts and even manfucature news altogether back up many of these claims.

Overall I feel that the author has done a good job of pulling in seemingly unrelated materials and connecting the dots for people who do not have the knowledge, time or an incentive to do so. But don't take my word for it and don't take the authors, but overall don't dismiss his claims simply because you didn't hear about it on MSNBC, CNN or FOX. It doesn't matter if you buy the book, borrow the book or steal it, just read it, research it and draw your own conclusion. Look, nobody wants anything of this nature to be true but you owe it to yourself to at least find out.

The content is nothing more then reiterated commentary and laughable conspiracies. This book serves as a collectors item from vanity publishers' worst of the worst. It's right up there (or should i say down) with Kenneth Eng's 0th dimension. If your into bad books, this more then fits the bill, if your looking for something to read, you get to eat crow.
