Wonderful Praises to the Lord,
By Adriene from Houston (Houston, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome to the Village (Audio CD)
Let me begin by saying that I am a biased consumer of this product because I am a member of Windsor Village and of the choir. HOWEVER, I enjoy GOOD Gospel music and I am able to be a little unbiased of our project. I would like to say to anyone thinking of buying this CD/album, that we at The Village take praising God very seriously and we want to bring the message to the world! Our Pastor is an excellent teacher, preacher, community leader and he has inspired us to believe that we CAN DO ALL things through Christ who strengthens us. This album is the culmination of a lot of hard work but we want only to spread the love of Jesus and bring salvation to those who don't know the Lord. Please buy our product and enjoy worshipping with us - - - WELCOME TO THE VILLAGE!

I truly enjoyed this CD. The Windsor Village Mass Choir really put their best foot forward on this their debut release. The music will take you from pure worship with Awesome God to flat out praise with I Can Do All Things and I've Got a Right to Praise Him.I would highly recommend this release to any and everyone who enjoys gospel music. Well done Windsor Village.

Solid,

The album starts off with a beautiful rendition of "Psalms 150" and continues into the catchy, "Lord, I Want to Know You" and the encouraging, "Deliverance Is Available To You". Other standouts include; "Holy Is His Name", which features lead vocals by Daryl Coley. It's an okay Daryl Coley guest spot, it's no 'When Sunday Comes' (from Donald Lawrence & the Tri-City Singers 'Bible Stories' album) or 'Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah' (from Here II Praise's 'Giving You Nothing But Praise' album), but it's aight. There's also the upbeat "Yes I Can", the title track "Welcome To The Village". Then the album takes a more patriotic turn, finishing out with "God Bless America" and "The Star-Spangled Banner"; altogether a solid project.

Music that reflects relationship!,
By Christian (Richmond, TX United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome to the Village (Audio CD)
This CD ministers through relationship. I felt like voices on the CD know the risen savior. The lyrics were uplifting, encouraging, inspiring and most importantly they were in line with the word. This is the one of the best choir CD's that I have heard in a while. I love the anointed voice of Kathy Taylor-Brown and I was impressed by the collaboration of the talents of Windsor's music ministry staff in composing, producing and arranging the cuts. Keep up the great work!

This is a great cd. The praise and worship is just wonderful. "Awesome God" brings you into his presence. "Holy, Holy, Holy" seems as if it is floating into heaven. "Yes I can" makes you think you can do all things through Jesus Christ. I like every song on this cd. That is very rare for me. Getting down to "The Star Spangled Banner", is just an awsome arrangement. My hat is off to Windsor Village Mass Choir. You did a wonderful job.

Kathy Taylor Brown & Luke Mercer: Dynamic Gospel Duo!,
By Kimberley Yancy (Texas City, TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome to the Village (Audio CD)
The Windsor Village CD project preaches Jesus, sings Jesus, and uplifts Jesus!! If you desire to lift up Jesus, this is the CD to have in your collection of Praise & Worship Music. The combination of Kathy Taylor Brown and Luke Mercer Jr. creates a powerful life-changing ministry of music! Both artists unveil the curtain to true worship and praise of our God! The song Awesome God knocks you off your feet in worship to God! "Deliverance" lets us know that God still delivers, but we must be available to receive it. "I have a Right to Praise Him" reminds us of our freedom to serve a righteous God who is worthy of Praise! And the song "Welcome to the Village" testifies to the true purpose of God's church in this day and time! I truly loved this CD! And I know you will too!

This is one of the best CD's I have ever purchased. It is a must-have by every lover of great gospel music, although it did not make the mainstream list of best sellers. Every single selection is wonderful!
