5.0 out of 5 stars Bluegrass, Texas style, September 8, 2000
By
Dirk Fowler (Lubbock, Texas USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Welcome to West Texas (Audio CD)
If you are a bluegrass or western swing fan you should own this album. It is simply a fun disc. I have seen these two college instructors perform several times live, and they are incredible musicians. Two songs written by my friend Andy Wilkinson (Wildflower Moon and When the Cottonwoods are Yellow) are standouts on the album. The song Welcome To West Texas pretty much sums up this often overlooked part of the earth. Joe Carr and Alan Munde are two more in a long list of influential musicians that have called the area around Lubbock, Texas their home. In short, stop reading and add it to your cart.
