Via a zombie-survival related customer list, I found "Cold Steel's" Self Defense Indestructible Brooklyn Baseball Bat. While I think an injection molded bat out of heavy-grade polypropylene must be more effective than an aluminum bat, is it an effective weapon against Zombies? This problem is keeping me awake nights, so please, somebody help me!

For the Cold Steel Bat, I would say one of the best ways to test it is to go to the nearest grocery store and purchase a Coconut. If you can crack that thing open without any issues then it should be fairly effective. But then the real test is how many coconuts can it crack open in a row before it gives out or any sign of wear and tear comes into play.

If it doesn't work, should I try making a weapon out of coconuts? I hear that falling coconuts kill many people every year!

Marksman138 says:
If that seems effective, why not. Only problem is that they would only be good when their fresh. As soon as a coconut starts to spoil it looses it's rigidity and will break open easier. So you'll definitely go through a lot of them.

CDaniels says:
How about fire extinguishers? CO2 fire extinguishers get pretty cold and can cause frostbite- but probably not effective against zombies unless directed into the eyes. I haven't come across information or documentation about using different types of fire extinguishers against zombies, but it seems perfectly logical to me. Modified baseball bat, coconuts, fire extinguishers. Check.
