From the Back Cover

Minimize inspection problems with this one-stop guide to all welding codes. Get quick answers to all structural steel and welding building code questions that may arise at any stage of a project--from initial design through construction to final inspection. This reference gives you code information for nearly every aspect of welding, including piping; sheet steel; structural members; fabrication processes; and bolts and joints. Here--for the first time in a single source--is an alphabetical compilation of comprehensive code information derived from the American Welding Society Codes; Uniform Building Codes; Standard Building Codes; AISC Steel Construction Manual; and BOCA National Building Codes. You'll find six alphabetized sections covering: general information--such as prequalified joint configurations, structural shape dimensions, and welding symbols; structural steel--from allowable roughness in oxygen cut surfaces to workmanship; tables and figures--compiled from all major codes and standards; high strength bolts--from anchor bolts to washers; reinforced steel--placement, welding, fit-up, and identification of rebar; sheet steel--welding, fit-up, and inspection of decking. Welding Codes, Standards, and Specifications also features special notations that refer to the code number from which the information was obtained--thus saving you time in the compliance process.

Not a great resourse for AWS Standards and Testing procedures. Lots of information in the book and is like a condensed version of welding codes. Definately not for the beginner or someone seeking AWS Certification, in my opinion.
