Amazing Shampoo & Body Wash in ONE...even for Toddlers!,
By
This review is from: Weleda Calendula Shampoo and Body Wash, 7.2-Ounce (Health and Beauty)
This is a wonderful smooth shampoo & body wash all in one, that I am currently using for my toddler/preschooler! He has such sensitive skin and frequently has little rashes that are unexplained...they are SO much less frequent!

I am a fan of both Weleda and Burts Bees - these brands are truly natural, be very careful when other brands say natural - there is no regulation on the word natural - be sure to read the label. Amazon's price is competitive plus you have the convenience of home delivery - a time saver for all parents out there...

We switched from J&J products shortly after our LO was born due to all the crazy ingredients. We've really enjoyed Weleda. Our LO smells great and is well moisturized. He doesn't smell "like a baby," at least not in America, because it seems all babies smell like J&J. We think he even simply more wonderful!

I switched to this from Aveeno baby shampoo and wash. Theirs made my baby's skin dry. Weleda wash is so soft on her skin, the smell is very nice, but subtle, and I can tell my baby likes it! It's better to use it on a wash cloth, as it floats in flakes if you don't. I even started using it on my face occasionally - no dryness! The only drawback is the container - what a designer! She/he should have tried to give their baby a bath and try to squeeze some shampoo out with one hand. I'm looking to buy an empty pump container so I can just pour it in there.

I purchased this because it's the only natural baby product that didn't give me complete sticker shock. It has a great smell, but I'm not sure if it's tear-free. It's very lotiony and it's best to put it in your hand first and work up a lather and rub that on the babe. We have it on subscribe and save and every other month works for us!

I am very happy with this shampoo I purchased for my twins. The shampoo doesn't lather that much but that is to be expected for a natural shampoo. I was surprised to see alcohol (which is known for its drying effect) in a baby product, but it is down far enough in the ingredient list that I am pretty comfortable with it. This product made my babies' hair soft, clean and fresh smelling but did not have a lingering strong smell, which is fine with me. At such a reasonable price, I think I will stay away from chemically baby shampoos from now on. It's worth it to spend a little more to keep sulfates and other strong chemicals away from my babies.

I love this product. Yes, it is expensive. A tiny bit goes a long way, It's super creamy and lathers up very thick. My daughter's hair is glossy shiny and soft after every scrub-a-dub. This shampoo is hard to find in stores, I had to switch baby shampoos in a pinch last week and the difference was huge. Drugstore brand dried her hair (and my hands) out and had to use a ton of detangler. Ick. Don't use that stuff. Spoil your baby with this stuff!!

Had our first kid in Germany in 2009 and were given a bottle of this baby wash by a friend. Lasted our baby's entire first year. The scent is superb, without the use of perfumes, and it's so gentle. We recently moved back stateside and with baby number 2 on the way I was very happy to find this product available here on Amazon. Weleda products are made to the highest standards with no funny fillers. If you want the best for your baby I'd highly recommend this and other Weleda products.
