Product Description

Although many shampoos claim to give you shiny, vibrant and managable hair, many of them use harsh detergents that strip natural oils. Weleda uses only the mildest detergents in its shampoos derived from coconut oil and includes ingredients to restore the hair's luster and healthy appearance. Weleda also takes the unusual view that healthy hair begins with healthy scalp. Outside factors such as heat, cold or chemical products tend to upset the balance of the scalp. Weleda products restore balance, reviving your scalp and leaving your hair naturally beautiful.

I don't suffer from dry or frizzy hair, but I like to do intense conditioning treatments since I tend to dye and bleach my hair several times a year. I tried this on a whim, not having used many oil treatments in the past. Generally, I apply the product in the evening after a shower and sleep with it in with a towel around my head or at least laying on the pillow. I did this with this product since there are no harsh chemicals that would burn through if left in too long.

First off, you will smell like salad dressing with this in. No two ways about it, it's rosemary, it's oil, you will smell like salad. It's not a bad thing mind you, but if you're sensitive to the scent or don't want to smell too strongly for a day or two, it's not a product for you. I personally love the feel of an oil treatment and the rosemary is very pleasant, so this was a great product for me.

Second, it worked amazingly well! My hair felt incredibly soft and pliable. Soft to the point that I couldn't even do anything with it. It just wouldn't hold well since it was so nice. This is easily an oil treatment that I would get again.

Third, the bottle is small, but depending on how much you use and how long your hair is, you can get a few applications out of it. With shoulder length hair and using enough to soak through but not drip everywhere, I got 2.5 uses out of it (half because it didn't really soak through well on the last application since I didn't have enough).

Only drawback, this *is* messy. It's oil, it's hard to clean up and get off your hands. Make sure you do it in the bathroom, have adequate coverage for your clothes and pillow (if you sleep with it in) and wipe it up. It's not a thick oil, it pours quite well, and it's easy to get everywhere if you're not careful!

Let me just begin by saying that I never review products, but here I am 3 months later realizing that there are only a few drops of my rosemary hair oil left! Must purchase more, possibly many more!
I have a mixture of thin and thicker at the crown curly hair. In the world of curly hair it would be considered a 3c/b curl. I wash my hair twice week to avoid over drying, but in between washes, it was difficult to keep my hair looking fresh, shiny and frizz free. Not anymore! Post styling, once my hair is completely dry, whether naturally curly, pin curled or straight, I apply a very small amount of this product and run it through the length of my hair to the ends. It instantly smooths and redefines leaving my hair looking freshly styled and shiny, in a non greasy way. It leaves my hair soft and eliminates dryness. I also use it as a scalp and hair treatment before washing, it leaves your hair soft, eliminates dandruff and I actually think it encouraged hair growth! I cant say enough good things about this product. Do keep in mind that a very small amount goes along way, it is a thick oil so if you use too much your hair will look greasy, but if used correctly, you will love the result.

This is by far the best hair oil treatment I've used, I don't use it on a daily basis, I use it as a hot oil treatment every once in a while (once or twice a month), I don't have permed or dyed hair but this leaves it soft and healthy, and I've also heard that it works great on chemically treated hair. Use it once a month, then don't do any heat styling or chemical treatments for about 2 months and you can grow healthy long hair.

I have naturally curly hair that tends to be dry. After washing, I just massage this oil in to my scalp and hair and leave it in overnight and my hair looks amazing. It's smells wonderful as well.

This doesn't contain rosemary in the ingredients. My "Rosemary Hair Oil" ingredients are: 1) Peanut Oil, 2) Clover Extract, 3) Perfume, and other stuff that is not Rosemary oil or Rosemary extract.

Love this oil and use it on my 4B type hair. However, I recently started using pure Rosemary Oil which I like better for growing my edges. I add Weleda to my hair cream for the rest of my hair. My hair is really growing with the rosemary oils. For temple growth, I use it with ORS Organic Root Simulator and Emu oil. Sometimes I use a little Jamaican Black Castor oil and Almond oil.

I am going to start making my own rosemary oils. I also drink Rosemary tea to jump start hair growth. Works for me.

I mix this with Castor oil to make it a hair treatment before washing. Has made hair stronger and healthier. I do not like using it alone and heading out the door. Its a very heavy oil even if I use a tiny bit it just makes hair look greasy immediately. Better to use only as oil treatment then wash out.

My hairdresser once told me that I have thick, fine hair. (meaning that my wavy to curly hair is fine, but I have a lot of it) Finding a product that won't weigh down my curls can be downright impossible!
I love the Weleda Rosemary oil and use it as a daily product on wet or dry hair. I only use a nickel size puddle on my palm (less for dry hair) rub my hands together to warm it and apply to my hair, starting at the ends. I let my hair dry naturally (if wet) and am very pleased with the curl definition and shine. I haven't ever experienced greasiness, and I love the smell. After applying, I just rub my hands together to work any leftover oil into my skin. I have used 2/3 of my bottle after one month of daily use and will definitely be purchasing this item again and again.
