The authors explore how the 1995 welfare reforms in Massachusetts have changed the structure of AFDC. They also analyse the implementation of the reforms and their impact on work outcomes in the Commonwealth.
Thomas J. Main is assistant professor at the School of Public Affairs Baruch COllege, CUNY. His research interests are homelessness, welfare reform and urban governance.
