Product Description
A highly inventive and very funny animal fantasy set in a land where humans have vanished, leaving the realm in the paws of the animals…

Life for a weasel – under the heavy paw of the vicious stoat rulers – is pretty miserable (unless you happen to be a weasel who likes living in a hovel and toiling all hours for the benefit of the stoats).

5.0 out of 5 stars Best I have read except Lord of Rings, August 12, 2002
A Kid's Review
This book is awesome I have read almost the whole series and this is the best. I can't wait for more books in the series to come out. I have read it 5 times now it is a lot better than Redwall.
The characters a perfect I like them all. It is also one of the funniest books I have read. I recommend it for all ages 8 and up. The story is awesome as is the whole series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Watership Down,Redwall and...The Welkin Weasels!, October 18, 2002
A Kid's Review
The first Welkin Weasels book is splendid, just like its sequels(who deserved much more praise than they got). It is about a group of travelling Weasels, who are on a long quest to search for the humans who have mysteriously disappeared. Even since the vanishing-presence of the humans, stoats have taken over man's authority of race and have begun to boss aroung the weasels. That is why Sylver and his Weasels have gone looking for the humans.
Thunder Oak is a truly fabulous book. If you liked the Redwall Series or Watership Down, you'll love this too.
