5.0 out of 5 stars Love this-no fillers, just good ingredients.
My breeder recommended this food and I'm so glad we have stayed with it. My puppy is 16 weeks old and has been on this food since she was weaned. I have been feeding it to her and she has put on 1/2 a pound in the last 5 weeks on it (she is a chihuahua and was 1 1/2 lbs when I took her home and at the vet's office today she weighed a hefty 2 pounds). I love that the...

3.0 out of 5 stars Wellness puppy food
My boston terrier/english bulldog puppy's coat became shiny on this food, his breath smelled good, his gas wasn't stinky, and the food appears to have excellent ingredients. However, after over a month of eating Wellness, his stool never became firm (which it was on whatever cheap food he was eating at the breeders). It alternated between runny and mushy. I'd read...

3.0 out of 5 stars Wellness puppy food, November 3, 2008
This review is from: Wellness Super5Mix Dry Dog Food for Puppies, Just for Puppy Recipe, 30 lb. Bag (Misc.)
I'd read similar reviews on various websites, but decided to try it anyway (everyone's experiences are different). Although I have no way of knowing this, I wonder if some of the fancier dogfoods overdo it with the flax and greentea---it would certainly give me the runs. Anyway, I think it's a good food and may work well for some dogs, but we've had to transition off of it to Merrick puppy plate, which, although it has similar ingredients, seems to be firming up the poop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this-no fillers, just good ingredients., May 28, 2010
My breeder recommended this food and I'm so glad we have stayed with it. I love that the first ingredients are a good source of protein and that there is a mixture of fruits and veggies for her too. It's a little more expensive, but totally worth it.

This puppy food is excellent! It is very high quality. The price is a bit higher than even some of the other super premium dog foods but it's well worth it!

Our Maltese puppy loves this food and it is good for him. He was on another food and was scratching all the time. We switched to the Wellness Super5Mix Puppy and within a week his scratching has stopped. The pieces are small size perfect for a small bread puppy.

We plan on using Wellness dog food when he is older.

5.0 out of 5 stars less poop, November 15, 2009

I bought a bag in Petco store and the pups love it. I noticed a large reduction in their poop quantities too. The food does not stink like big brands often do and is very reasonably priced. I am now a repeat customer and recommend this brand to all who seek a more natural dog food.

5.0 out of 5 stars My dog loves Wellness!, November 29, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My 5-month-old puppy had lost interest in his Iams Puppy food, so I was on the lookout for a tastier brand of dry puppy food. I read the reviews of Wellness on Amazon and said, why not, let's try it. Now we are hooked--Dexter LOVES his Wellness! He gobbles it all up in one sitting (he used to eat a kibble here and a kibble there with the Iams). He seems happy and healthy and looks great too (shiny coat!). He doesn't have any specific health problems (I saw in the reviews that some dog owners tried Wellness to treat allergies and such) but I am hoping Wellness will keep him on the up-and-up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, great Product!, December 3, 2010
I have two puppies Morkie. They simply love this food, their stool comes out dry making a lot easier to clean up accidents on my carpet. Highly recommend this food for your puppy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product, August 14, 2010
By
I spent a lot of time researching premium puppy foods and settled on Wellness. I wanted a food that didn't contain corn or wheat and other non specific meat products. My 14 week old puppy had no trouble switching to Wellness, in fact she is no longer picking around her dry food like she was on the previous brand I bought. She hasn't been on it long enough for me to have noticed a change in condition or coat, but i'm confident it will. My only complaint is that the so called 're-sealable' bag doesn't actually reseal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better than average dog food, January 28, 2011

I don't know the source of the info posted by one person about Wellness being bought out so cannot determine if it is true or not. But, that said, it is made in the USA and has a good list of ingredients in the top 5. Also rated 4 out of 5 stars by more than one dog food analysis site. It is not like Purina in any way, which in some cases is 1 star, depending on the specific food ingredients. BTW we can buy it for less where we live than price offered by Amazon.
