5.0 out of 5 stars practically helpful & delightful!, October 23, 2008
This review is from: Wellness Wisdom: 31 Ways to Nourish Your Mind, Body & Spirit (Paperback)
My own personal development and professional interests keep me buried under a sea of self-help tomes, many of which struggle to be useful beyond the introductory chapter. This litte gem stands apart! It is what the title purports - wise. Wise in it's simplicity. (No over-analyzed explanations). Rather, simple characterizations of wellness practices supported by tender examples from the authors experience. And I love anything that takes 'wellness' from the realm of the nebulous to the art of regular practice. This book teaches us how to establish our own practice, or how to enrich it.

Wellness Wisdom is a great and simple way of looking at personal health. This book keeps things simple with out preaching or telling how to implement. The author is sensitive to the individual and encourages you to find your own way to health. Wellness Wisdom is a great gift book, perfect for anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Isn't it great when a little book can create a BIG shift?!, September 17, 2011
I love the beautiful cover of this book and I leave it in hallway so anyone can be inspired by its wisdom. Susan is a writer who is funny, authentic and compassionate in her musings. Her honesty sparks that fire within us to remember to not sweat the small stuff but to embrace it and see the wisdom in everyday happenings. Buy it for someone you love or have difficulty loving.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect book for wellness and wisdom!, September 14, 2011
I love this book and recommend it to everyone! It's on my nightstand so I can quickly access it whenever I need inspiration and advice. I like that I can just flip through the book and choose the topic that's most relevant for me. It's the perfect size, and each chapter is short yet packed with juicy information (my fav is chapter 23!). It's a light-hearted book, and the author's humour and personal stories make following her tips really easy and fun. It's like she's my wise, spiritual friend offering me guidance without lecturing or boring me. This book is for anyone who wants an injection of inspiration with concrete ways of nourishing your mind, body and spirit.
Get this book! It's so worth it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely jewel of a book, July 26, 2011
This is a lovely jewel of a book. It shares anecdotes from the author's own life that are touching or funny and always frank. Susan tells it like it is, and speaks from the heart of her own experience to suggest ways we can be healthier and happier. I pick it up and read a few pages here and there when I'm feeling stressed and need to remember what's important. It's an ongoing resource that truly is nourishing for mind, body and spirit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it, January 15, 2008
This review is from: Wellness Wisdom: 31 Ways to Nourish Your Mind, Body & Spirit (Paperback)
I love this book
This book has so many reminders and new tools to live in a positive healthy mindset. It has changed how I think about what I ask for or complain about. I have referred this book to clients who have enjoyed the sagely advice. It is a book you can carry around and read over and over again. Bring with you to times when you have to stand in line, wait at the doctors, or when you want to take a break from the daily grind. Nikelle Rosier, LICSW Emerald City Counseling
