It keeps his hands as warm as could be expected.

They have enough dexterity to open latches and poultry waterers, but I wouldn't do detailed work with them.
calpsychik
Dexterity is really quite good and they are not very bulky for a warm waterprrof work glove.

Of the cold gloves I've tested, this is the least flexible; has the tightest fingers. It has the least-sticky coating (but least friction between fingers). Fingers are fully coated on back. coating looks wrinkled. Insulation thickness is average.

Here are gloves I compared it to:

-PIP WA1403A Tek - most flexible; stickiest coating (but friction between fingers) - nice glove!

-Memphis CN9690 Ninja Ice Nylon - thickest insulation; long tight fingers; less flexible

-Atlas Therma-Fit 451 - thinnest insulation; loosest fit; sticky coating

I had been looking for a winter-lined, nitrile-coated glove for quite some time. Latex-coated gloves abound, but latex loses its grip when wet, something I have to contend with in my job.

These gloves fit the bill nicely. They are warm enough on the winter without too much bulk. They have enough dexterity for me to be able to do my job with gloves on.

I gave these gloves a four-star rating instead of five because of the "pebble texture" nitrile coating. If one works with powdery substances in the winter as I do, the texture will tend to pick up the powder (and sometimes snow) and inhibit the ability of the gloves to grip. A smooth nitrile coating would actually work better, but I have yet to find gloves made like that.

My winter is milder than many others, but I'm out watering and feeding my farm animals for hours when the temps are low 20s and it's raining and miserable. These are truly waterproof and puncture-resistant, and have held up to my abuse, which is saying a lot. They are so warm. And I like that there's no leather. They have enough dexterity to open latches and poultry waterers, but I wouldn't do detailed work with them. But, they're easy to slip off by holding it between arm and torso, and then you can quickly get them back on! Love them, and I've tried out a lot of gloves!!!

I'm a female on the tall side, and I get a large. I like them a tad loose so I can get them on and off quickly and can bend my fingers without a lot of effort, as they're nice and padded for warmth.

Used these all winter (2nd snowiest on record) while using my snowblower. Kept my hands dry and warm - and good grip on winter snow equipment.

A little tight in the fingers, I'd probably get an XL, usually a L.

These gloves are warm and work well but would be much better if they were dipped a little more. The rubber coating on the top of the glove stops short of being fully dipped for no apparent reason and takes away from the warmth and the protection you need.

These gloves are average at best, definitely better gloves on the market. If you are looking for a good pair of winter work gloves I would go with the Wells Lamont Cold Weather G80 Thinsulate glove. No way I could have survived this past winter working outside without those gloves. We had a terrible winter here in STL '13/'14, and the G80 Thinsulate gloves saved my hands. I was looking for a replacement after wearing the G80 Thinsulate gloves out all winter and these gloves don't hold up in extreme weather. They will keep your hands relatively dry but not warm. I'm going back to the G80 Thinsulate gloves trust me I worked a 11 hour shift in the G80 Thinsulate gloves when it was -33 with the wind chill (makes me sad just thinking about it) :( :( :(

Great product, great company. Will definitely buy more. Working in landscaping in the winter, you need a good pair of gloves. This is that pair.
