A must have!,

Team, this one you must have. It will blow you off the planet. IF you can imagine a blend of Dead Can Dance/ Lisa Gerrard Vocals, and combine that with infectous World music and dance sounds (difficult I know) you have an idea. Maybe Dead Can Dance meets Collide? I know, difficult to imagine, but tis a quite unique album unlike anything I have heard before. I guess you would almost call it dance music ( i hesitate to say) but you will never hear anything like this in a club. Basically I have run out of adjectives to describe just how good this is.The lead singer and mind behind this has a delectable throaty voice, with a wide range. The composition is extraordinary, and has a lovely swirling mix. Absolute stand out tracks are "Radio India" and "salomes Dream". Awesome. Thanks to the Amazon reviwers who suggested this - you did not lie!

I bought this CD after hearing one of the group's songs on the "Music from the Succubus Club" compilation soundtrack. "Wench" is the best of the five groups I bought albums from based on songs from that compilation. I keep listening over and over again. It seems to have a light gothic flavor to it. Your can hear the emotions coming from the singers as it is playing. To top it off I can think of no bad songs on the album. With over 1300 CDs in my collection, as of writing this, it remains in my top five percent for over 6 months now. Closest comparisons would be "Rose Chronicles", "Nosferatu", and possibly "Type O Negative", but Wench have a style slightly unique. I highly recmmend this CD.

Love it,

Great stuff. The vocal is often ethereal, haunting, over a mix of industrial sound and tribal percussion. I consistently find myself turning the volume waaaay up on 'Chant','Radio India', 'Tantra', and 'Voodoo'.
