With a blade, scissors, nail file, bottle opener and standard and Phillips screwdrivers, this one has all of the tools I need. Better yet, it doesn't add weight adding less important tools like corkscrews. However, the best thing is the non-stick surface applied to the knife which makes it less likely to slip out of my pocket, the reason why I usually replace my knives about once a year.

It was a little more expensive than I normally spend, but so far it is worth it.

I purchased this knife as a Secret Santa gift for a coworker. Except for one blade, it's identical to one given to me thirty years ago by my girlfriend. The relationship didn't last, but I've carried the knife with me on three continents. It's well designed (especially the scissors mechanism) and rugged. The new Evo Grip makes it even more comfortable. I know the other guys claim to be the real Swiss Army Knife, but for me, Wenger is the only way to go.

Oh, yeah, the price from this merchant was excellent, and delivery took half the time expected.

I bought the EvoGrip from Wenger because it had the right mix of tools. I've owned SAKs from both Wenger and Victorinox, so have no bias. The EvoGrip's neoprene grip feels great, the primary knife is very sharp (more so than Victorinox) and the scissors are already getting a work-out; they are excellent once you figure out how to extract them from the handle. The knife is slightly thicker than a standard SAK, so be warned -- it doesn't feel as comfortable in the pocket, but is still the best knife of its type I've ever owned.
Overall, great knife and I strongly recommend it.

I'm a long-time Swiss Army Knife (SAK) collector. It started with a Victorinox Tinker in the 80s. After that, it became a pursuit for "The Perfect SAK."

Finally, I had to admit I'm a collector of the things, as I have more than I could possibly wear out in a lifetime.

This one compares favorably to the Victorinox Super Tinker. This one's a little shorter in length, and just a tad thicker. We lose the small blade, but gain a nail file, whose tip makes a very good #1 phillips driver.

The EvoGrips are fantastic. They have a great shape to them with dents for the thumb, no matter how you're holding it. They're molded in, and not stuck on, so they're not going anywhere.

The scissors are serrated so they don't slip off of harder things like cable ties when I'm trying to cut them.

The large flat head screwdriver locks when pressure is applied to it. Brilliant.

There is also a Patagonian Expedition Race version of this knife available, which has yellow handle scales. It is not available at Amazon at the time of this writing. The one being reviewed here, the EvoGrip 16, doesn't have the locking blade, but the S16 and Patagonia S16 both do. This is a nice feature.

The awl is just an awl; not a reamer, as on the Victorinox.

Great knife, like the updated design with the contour and grips. Low profile in my pocket, not too bulky with just the right tools for everyday use.

I have owned 3 of these knives and I am happy to say that each one has been my perfect GOTO utility item. It has everything that a traditional Swiss army knife has, but it's about $20 less. The scissors are serrated and can cut through tough materials with ease. The knife is sharp and long enough to use on wood, plastics and leathers. The can opener can double as a screwdriver or chisel, while the other sharp-pointed can opener is a stronger knife that can pierce tin and cut open a can quickly. the toothpick and tweezers are essential along with the added grips for your finger and thumb, file, awl and phillips-head screw driver rounding out this lightweight utility knife. I am a personal fan of the tweezers because they are thin, yet strong and have the ability to pluck even the most stubborn splinter out easily.

Best knife I've ever owned. It feels very heavy and well-made, the sharp parts are sharp, and the tools lock in to place solidly.

This thing is in my pocket 100% of the time unless I am sleeping.
