I had a classic SAK that was a gift when I stood up at a friends wedding. Had an engraved panel on it with my nickname and it was nice. I carried this on and off in my pocket but found that it was just slightly too small sometimes. I bought another SAK - and it was a 3.5" model and just too wide to keep in my pocket for daily carry. This was the perfect compromise -- under 3" but with plenty of tools. The eye-glasses screwdriver is excellent and the scissors are quite sharp. You can't go wrong here.

Wenger 16658 Pocket Tool Chest Swiss Army Knife Brushed Stainless SteelI have had my Pocket Tool Chest now for several months and I have been using it off and on as a gentleman's knife when I go to nicer functions and for other small tasks at work and around the house. My knife is the standard red model and not the stainless scales.

Here is what I can tell you:

(The Good)

1. The Main Blade came sharp from the box and after a few passes across a pocket whetstone I have it is as sharp as a razor blade. I like the length and shape of the main blade on this knife which by the way is very similar to the Victorinox Classic Blade. Edge retention seems to be very good on my example, but I have not really been punishing it. Cutting cardboard is probably the worst task I have put this knife to so far, but cardboard is really bad on dulling a blade.

2. The Nail cleaner blade Is acceptable, has a good curved point on the end that works well for me... and the grit on the file portion of the blade is nice and gritty and takes material off my nails very well. Very little if any wear at this point on the grittiness of the surface.

3. The Small 3/32" Flathead Blade is a nice size for many fine fasteners or for prying off battery covers and such. I have only used the opener maybe twice but it seems to be adequate for the task considering the thinness of the blade. I generally carry a little cast aluminum cap lifter on my key-chain so this feature does not get used much.

4. The Precision Screwdriver Blade is a perfect size and length for the tasks that it faces most often.

I pretty much knew (from research on the web) what the knife was and what it would do. Wenger is a well known name in Swiss Army Knives, and well respected for their quality and performance. But, of course, having the actual product in one's hands makes all the difference.

I was well pleased with the product when it arrived. It was exactly what I wanted and just the size I was looking for. However, the thing that pleased me the most was the service. Both Amazon and the company delivering the product (partnered with Amazon) made the experience pleasant for me. The price was right, and the delivery time was VERY acceptable.

Thank you both, very much.

I got mine as an aniversary gift 12 years ago..... has worked great, except the cover came off the in the last year on one side. Looking to upgrade because I get it caught on things where the cover was.

I am a Victorinox man, however this Wenger is my go to keychain knife. All the tools I need, none that I don't. The Vic small knives have silly tools like an orange peeler, and cuticle pusher. This knife is slightly larger than a Vic Classic which means the scissors and blade are slightly larger and more useful. Its slightly smaller than a Vic Executive. The scissors are serrated and cut very well, but it is not ideal for trimming fingernails. This knife is the best small Swiss Army Knife I have ever owned, and I own over a dozen. The Vic knives IMHO are better knives in the larger models, but for small keychain-able tools, this is the winner!
