The large, round watch case is topped by a gray/silver bezel with black engraved tachymeter markings (which can be used to measure time over distance). The black dial includes three chronograph subdials (which can measure events up to 30 minutes), a date function at 4 o'clock, full Arabic numeral display and luminous-tipped hands with red-tipped seconds hand. It's matched with a solid silver stainless steel five-link bracelet band that's joined by a diver's buckle with safety clasp. Other features include the classic Swiss Army insignia at 12 o'clock, a scratch-resistant mineral crystal, and water-resistance to 100 meters (330 feet)--suitable for a variety of snow and water sports.

About Wenger Watches Established in 1893 in Delémont in the Jura mountains of Switzerland, Wenger S.A. began as a supplier for the Swiss Army and is now one of only two official producers of the genuine Swiss Army knife. With the world renowned high standards of Swiss watchmaking, it was only a matter of time before Wenger moved into creating precisely tuned and carefully engineered timepieces. Since beginning in 1997, Wenger watches are now sold in 80 countries on all continents and its collection comprises the whole military sports spectrum.

The Wenger(r) Alpine Swiss Rallye watch is constructed with a mineral crystal and a stainless-steel case with a screw-on back. It's set-up with 30-minute chrono function, luminous hands, numerals and markers, and a tachymeter on the bezel that measures speed over a known distance.

I've worn a Rolex Submariner for about the last 40 years and it was starting to show some scratches and wear. Since the value of it is upwards of about $7500 now days, I decided I needed to replace it with something more practical. This is the watch I chose. I wear it every day and never take it off.

I felt I had to jump in here because there were only 2 reviews of this watch and neither one was very favorable. I didn't buy this watch from Amazon. I would have but they didn't have it in stock. I actually paid $250 for it and as far as I can tell from other internet searches it retails for around $500 to $595 street price. I'd say I got a really good deal and if Amazon is ever able to stock it again I'd definitely recommend it for that price. You won't be disappointed.

First of all - it's a good looking watch! It attracts attention and interest. It keeps time to the second. The chronometer is an excellent feature if you need that sort of thing (and I do).

I find the tachometer "feature" useless because I don't know how it works and can't ever imagine a need for it.

The only drawback, if any, is that it is very hard to take links out of the band to size the watch. I have a small wrist and I have the tools and know-how to remove links from most watch bands but I found that I had to take this one to a jeweler in order to get it sized

Nice watch but when I received it it wasn't working. May be the battery - shouldn't be shipped out with dead batteries. This was a gift in which I gave to the recipient and then had to take back because it wasn't working.

fast shipping, smooth transaction, just that there are finger prints at the back of watch. Not sure if it's an refurbished one.
