I periodically am able to get computer backpacks for my work computer at work and have for years. The last one that I bought just didn't have the number of pockets and sections that were well organized to fit the items that I carry everyday. Saw this one on Amazon and decided to give it a try, especially at the price! It has 1)a big section at the back for the laptop (built-in padded sleeve with elastic strap to hold it in place), 2)middle section which is very large and has a zippered mesh pocket, 2 dividers that come half way up from the bottom, a "media pocket" which holds my iPod touch in one section and cds/dvds in the larger section, 3)a smaller but very roomy section that contains an organizer pouch with a zipper pocket, cell phone pocket and the usual pen and pencil slots, 4)small section / pocket on the outside on the front toward the top that I use for id badge, keys and smaller items, 5)adjustable straps with cell phone pocket on one side and a slot to hang sunglasses on the other, 6)clip for keys attached to the side of the handle, 7)zippered side pockets at the bottom on each side that should be able to hold 12 oz beverage cans although I have never used them for that.

This is well built and over the last 6 weeks mine has been loaded and hauled around every business day without any problems. One question that I ask people to gauge their satisfaction with something, whether a movie or product, is "would you buy / see / do it again?". My answer to that question on this backpack would be ABSOLUTELY and without hesitation.

This is a very well made pack but it is quite large. It is overkill unless you need a very large pack. If you need large it's nearly as good as it gets unless you need a mountaineering pack with a frame. They make a smaller bag with the same quality.

I was initially very happy with the design and look of the bag. It looked very sturdy. However, after 1 month's usage, i discovered the right strap's thread is starting to come off from the seam. Moreover, it's not the usual strap that i normally used to carry the bag. I used to carry a file and notebook.

I'm truly disappointed as i had high regards for swiss gear's product. I initially thought of buying another smaller version but I don't think so anymore.

this bag surprised me. the construction and durability are outstanding. plenty of pockets for everything from computer to snacks. heavy padding ensures safety for your computer from damage. very pleased

This product looks really pretty.. with all the ultra cool swiss gear logos and zippers. Looks wise this bag is 5 on 5.

Functionality -
Big drawback is that it does not have a water bottle carrier even though they say it has. The pockets on the side which are visible in the picture are on both side and theres no way one can put a bottle in that without it falling off. 2 on 5 here.

Space wise it is good, but not a huge amount of space like what I had expected. 4 on 5 here.

Durability - It looks as durable as durable can be :) 5 on 5 here.


Overall I would give it a rating of 4 on 5.

This is the kind of back pack i was looking for my 15'4 laptop. A good and useful organizer. Lot of space, sturdy and a very decent product.

I needed a bag to carry a thin laptop and a rather large binder. The bag has a bunch of sections for small items, but not a really big section for big stuff. I heard others say they put a bunch of textbooks in it, but I don't know where. The biggest section is no bigger than 3 or 4 inches. The bag is listed as 9 inches thick, but half of that is padding. I can fit my laptop and one 3 inch binder and that's about it.

I think the part where the laptop goes is great, nice padding, it's the back so it rests against your back if you wear it.

The shoulder straps a little too wide and aren't comfortable to wear really, I'll end up carrying it like a piece of luggage using the top strap instead.

I wasn't really interested in a phone or sunglasses holder so I guess those are good features if you need those.

I bought this for my school bag. and design is good, quality is good too. It is a bit heavy though, but other than that, it is good bag.

Our granddaughter is going away to college and expressed that she would like this for xmas. When it arrived, it seems like very nice quality, and will work well carrying her laptop. The padding will be nice and soft against her back. It arrived in excellent condition, which I find everything that I order from Amazon, does. I am always pleased!! It arrived earlier than expected delivery date!! I find that to be true also when ordering from Amazon!! I think she will be very happy with it when she opens it up Xmas eve!!! If she is happy with it, it will make Grammy and Papa happy as well to give it!!

My old bag didn't hold all of my school stuff and hurt my back. This bag, however, is fantastic! It holds all of my books and my ridiculously heavy laptop without the back pain.
