I purchased this watch as a Christmas present for myself - at least 10 years ago. It is still going strong and looks wonderful. Of course, the battery has been replaced several times as has the watch band. A great investment that has kept very accurate time over the years.

I bought this watch as a gift for my adult son. I had spent hours on-line trying to find the right watch. I was going nuts, and finally asked him for his assistance. We both looked at this together, and he Loved it. It had the military time,a nice leather strap, was water resistant. When it arrived, he called and told me it was a beautiful watch. So much nicer than any he had seen. It was just what he wanted.

I bought this watch from Target in 1994. 16, yes 16 years later and it still is going strong! The only thing I've ever done to it is replace batteries when it stops working for a couple of bucks and 10 minutes from Walmart and then for free for some reason over all the years I've had this watch Walmart will replace the thin metal spring loaded pegs that hold the (Mine is silverish metal band but the watch is the same) band to the watch. They bend out of shape about every 6 months. You have to be careful not to lose your watch because sometimes it gets caught and bends the pegs and the band pops right off. Think of them as sacrificial pins. For a few bucks you can buy a whole pack of them yourself and replace them with some practice and no tools in under 5 minutes. I got it when I was 16 and it has gone through 14 years of military service so far! I have pictures of me in basic training wearing it. Anyway the silver has worn off around the raised bezel areas and along the sides where the crown is, so it looks gold. The raised bezel has saved the face of the watch from many scratches. Great watch. Who knew?

I find myself looking for a new watch after having this one for 20 years...yes 20! Now I know why they still make it. Dont know how many bands or batteries I've gone thru, but I've worn it 5 days a week since I got it. I keep looking at newer models, etc., but I'm drawn back to this one. Mine is still running, the stainless on the raised embelishments around the face are worn down, there is a small scratch and nick in the crystal, but this thing is tough. You wont regret it....Maybe I'll get the same one with the metal band for dressier occaisions.

I purchased this watch for my husband because of the quality of the name and what i saw on the picture of the watch. The watch showed 24 hour markings on the face, the watch we received does not have the markings indicated. The watch is nice. But, it is not the watch being pictured. This is not an issue with Wengers quality.

I like this watch and it has been very reliable for me. My first one lasted 13 years and I just purchased a replacement. I prefer this medium size case to the larger ones. Both have kept excellent time: within seconds a month. The first one developed a problem with the stem after 4 years (way out of warranty) and Wenger fixed it quickly for free. After 13 years I replaced the battery and due to excessive wear on the rear bezel, the rear cap would not reseal water tight. I can't complain: I wear it everywhere and has been a rugged watch.

I recieved this Wenger 4+ years ago, and I have enjoyed it ever since. Its Swiss quartz movement is very accurate, and this watch succeeds at giving a military-grade timepiece a sleek and crisp design. Over the years its been worn through its paces, and it only required 1 battery and 1 replacement band, when it ripped on a vacation(Very bad idea to wear a leather-band watch in the Black Sea). However, a replacement Wenger 19mm band is only about $20, so you will be able to easily replace it. The watch includes luminous material on all the hour markers, and the minute and hour hands.
Overall, I would definately reccomend this timepiece to someone who is looking for a light, stylish, leather-banded, and medium-sized men's wristwatch.

I bought this watch 4 years ago. Since then I have not had a single problem with the watch. Even the original leather band and clasp are holding firmly in place just as the day I bought it. It has kept perfect time in the last 4 years and I have never had to reset the time. It still is running off of the original battery. I am very active and this watch has been all over the world and countryside with the face getting scrapped against rocks, so far the scratch resistant quartz face has held true to its word. I have owned many watches, and this one has been the best one by far. ***Update June 8th, 2010*** This watch is still working great! Leather strap holds together great, it doesn't miss a beat as far as time keeping is concerned & amazingly enough it's still running off of the original battery! I wear it every day and it holds up like a champ!

The wife and I bought a his 'n her pair at a certain warehouse store 10 years ago. Have replaced the battery and band a few times. Still looks great. It's a durable, accurate watch that works with a lot of different looks. I'm thinking it's a bit dated now because of the trend toward larger watches and watch faces. I also agree that the watch will look better on someone with a smaller build/hand/wrist than it does on a bigger guy, so try before buy would be advised. The standard Wenger replacement band is a bit smallish on my wrist, there is a larger replacement band available as well.

It's still in my "watch rotation" and I expect that it will be for some time to come.
