4.0 out of 5 stars Solid buy if you know what you are after.
There are a few things you should know about this tent, else your expectations may not be met. If your needs match the strengths of this product, you should be plenty happy (like me), or vise versa. I found all the info I needed to decide to buy it online, with the exception of one phone call to the manufacturer. They were very helpful and honest, BTW.

2.0 out of 5 stars BIG disappointment!
We searched and researched. The brand looked reliable, size was good and price was great. The first night we used it, it leaked terribly from dew -- NOT rain -- dew. Followed all the instructions, waterproofed it with the spray stuff. It still leaked. We had a rainstorm a few days later and it leaked like a faucet -- straight from the rain fly. We returned it and were...

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid buy if you know what you are after., July 31, 2009

There are a few things you should know about this tent, else your expectations may not be met. If your needs match the strengths of this product, you should be plenty happy (like me), or vise versa. I found all the info I needed to decide to buy it online, with the exception of one phone call to the manufacturer. They were very helpful and honest, BTW.

They call it a 10x18, but that does not mean a 180 sqft area (I think it is more like 116 sqft). I would not take a trip knowing the weather was going to be pretty bad, with this tent. Four season tents usually cost a fortune, and my family is NOT well suited for extreme camping, so this tent works fine for us. The room 'dividers' are just flaps that attach at their four corners, so if you want to camp with three couples, stand by to get close (hey, its just a tent!).

Overall, for the money, it is a good value. The construction looks good and the design is fine, with one exception...

Some things I like: Three rooms, three doors, ground-level vent, mesh pockets and small access 'doors', generous screens, ease of setup, it fits back into the bag!!, and plenty of anchor points (large tent, high winds, you get it).
Things I would change: The rain cover leaves gaps next to the front door. If you can see screen, you stand a good chance of getting wet. The two side 'rooms' are fairly small. This works for kids, but adults may find it cramped.

Everyone's needs vary, so know what you are buying and making a decision of what to buy should be simple. enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Condo" Tent, July 18, 2007
This review is from: Wenzel Sycamore 18- by 10-Foot Seven-Person Three-Room Family Dome Tent (Sports)
I spent the last 15 years backpacking and looking down my nose at car campers. THEN I had two kids 18 months and 4 1/2. I now appreciate the TRUE value of having seperate rooms (still waiting for tent-sound proofing technology) and the ability to stand up and change. If you are car-camping with kids THIS is the tent!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tent, November 9, 2006

For the money this is a very nice tent. It looks nice and is easy to set up. The only problem is the front zipper gets into the fabric on occasion. That is a small problem that is over shawdowed by all the great features and a low price. With the $30 dollars back from Amazon the tent only cost $69.99.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tent, November 6, 2006
This review is from: Wenzel Sycamore 18- by 10-Foot Seven-Person Three-Room Family Dome Tent (Sports)
I needed a tent that would fit my queen size mattress along with enough room for me to stand and change in, and this tent fit the bill! With mattress on one side, and ammenities on the other, I still had plenty of room in the center for movement and was able to stand upright.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy Assembly for those that are challenged!, August 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wenzel Sycamore 18- by 10-Foot Seven-Person Three-Room Family Dome Tent (Sports)
Folks, if you are not a handy person, and tremble when it comes to assembly of anything, this tent is for you. This by far is so simple a blindfolded chimp could put this up in a rain storm. Well crafted and very durable once up. Plenty of room for three plus all our gear. This is my second tent from the brand and this one is even better than last. Remember to treat your seams for rain protection, and you'll do just fine. We survived a summer downpoor, with not a drop coming inside or dripping anywhere on the tent. I couldn't give this tent 5 stars only because I'm sure a pricer version might be of a higher grade material, but for the budget and a not so frequent camper this is a perfect affordable tent for the family. One little mistake I made in assembly there is an S hook already attached to the tent, I missed this, and thought it was missing and actually went to the hardware store to get a replacement (always do a dry setup before camping), but once I got home and went to assemble I noticed the part was attached to the tent (The dunder head that I am). So don't wait go buy this one, and remember AMAZON is the best online store on the planet!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sets up Very Quickly!, August 29, 2007

This is an easy tent to set up and take down, for it's size that's a really good thing. There is so much space in this tent, it's great if you have kids, dogs, or just a lot of stuff! We used it the last 3 weekends and it worked awesome. I have yet to experience it in a rainstorm, and we haven't waterproofed it yet. I will have to get to that before it's too late.

1.0 out of 5 stars wenzel tent, August 2, 2008
This review is from: Wenzel Sycamore 18- by 10-Foot Seven-Person Three-Room Family Dome Tent (Sports)
I have tented in a wenzel tent for years but this tent did not compare. First the dimensions were very deceiving, the two sides of the tent narrowed dramatically which made for very limited sleep space and we were 2 adults and 2 children. Worst of all the tent did not hold up under the rain!!! I would not reccomend this tent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice big tent, January 11, 2007

We haven't used it but we have set it up and it goes together easily and firmly. I wish the advertisement had said it would need to have the seams sealed in case of heavy rain...this is not a problem but if we had waited to set it up at a campground we would not have had the necessary sealant. It surely is a roomy tent with lots of air, doors etc. We are pleased with the purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars Big Disappointment, July 17, 2009
This review is from: Wenzel Sycamore 18- by 10-Foot Seven-Person Three-Room Family Dome Tent (Sports)
I was so excited about this tent - it was big enough for 2 queen sized air mattresses, BUT the first day we set it up a pole broke - no wind, no rain...just broke. So Sad!
