As tools go, it is good. As Wera tools go, it is terrible.

The ratchet is nice, the bits are bits. The gold color in the image implies the diamond coated bits (as in Wera 8700-6/PH BDC BiTorsion Diamond Coated Rapidaptor Bit-Check, 7-Piece), but they are not. They are in fact identical to other bits. The bits are not stainless either (if you were thinking that the silver color might imply this.) None of this is to say that the bits are not made in the same quality as other Wera bits, just that they are not as they appear to be in the image.

More importantly, the case is really terrible. It is just low quality plastic, the belt clip is useless, the case in general will be broken and gone long before the tools are. That is sad because the case is a lot of what makes this set a "set", and comprises a lot of its utility to me. (Compare to the absolutely awesome cases that a Zyklop wrench set comes in, and you'll see why this was such a let down for me.

So, though the tools themselves are of the German quality one expects from Wera (if not what one might expect from the imagery), the case screams "made in China" (or, if you prefer "crap"). I don't know what to recommend. You won't get a better tool elsewhere, that I can think of, but you won't get the case/tool set/unit that you are expecting if you buy this. Sorry.

Final note, If you like the aesthetic of the Wera tools, you will probably find that little wrench a little awkward looking. Hardly a major issue, but it has a certain "this one doesn't belong with the others" ambiance which I think my ancestors would have found "not very German".

I am a sysadmin, and I spent a bunch of time working on computers in datacenters. Often I've got to get to some weird fastener at a weird angle. I've been buying cheap mini-ratchets for some time now, but I usually destroy them fairly quickly. I've had this one for some time now, and it's been worth the extra money. It works well.

The bits are nice, too.

Be warned, though, the belt-loop thing on the back of it is purely decorative and will pop off at the first sign of actual use. I'm actually deducting one star from an otherwise perfect product for this; the ingenious design of the case would be perfect to wear on my belt, if suitable accommodations were provided.

I love bit ratchets! But this is by far the best I've ever seen! Works great, looks great and plenty durable. You can turn the wheel by hand to hand tighten. Cute, shinny, bad to the bone for tight spots or extra torque, or many other situations. Very nice bit holder with slick spot for ratchet. Mine says it was made in Czech Republic.

Where do even begin with such an absolutely fantastic set of equipment. First, for the money you can't do better. Second, this is a solid metal ratchet that runs like a swiss watch. Third, bits are first class quality, extension and socket adapter are as well. Fourth, the case is great.

Fifth and most important is function. This set serves several purposes. It can replace stubby screwdrivers in most circumstances and give you ratchet function, reversible by the way. It can get into the tiniest of locations for electronic work.

Plug in the 1/4" socket driver and add your favorite needed socket and it's a super micro ratchet set.......uses go on and on.

As far as appearance and aesthetics, will good Lord, again, think Swiss watch.

One thing to ponder, and it's not a negative, is some bit re-ordering. There are (1) of each bit included except you're given: (2) #1 PHILLIPS, (3) #2 PHILLIPS, and (3) #2 SQUARE. That's 5 DUPLICATE BITS that WERA put in and for good reason, they're most commonly used and add a result likeliest to get lost, worn down or broke. However, if you're like a lot of us and have extra bits but instead prefer to round out THIS set, then ditch the extras and order the three slotted available that aren't included, and the #0 and #4 SQUARE not included. They only give you one slotted size btw. You can literally order these five bits for 6.37 plus shipping on the www.

Then you'll have a much wider assortment of SLOTTED and SQUARE to go with your SAE HEX, TORX, and TORX BO instead of duplicates. That's my recommendation. Enjoy this set, you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

I bought this to get into tight places and because I wanted quality. I love it. It feels good in the hand and works great. The only reason I only gave it four stars is it only came with one straight bit and I feel it is a little over priced

After much research, I decided to upgrade my old bit set to this Wera set and I am very pleased with it. The design of the carrying case is very clever amd holds a surprising number of bits as well as the small ratchet handle that is beautifully engineered. Would recommend to anyone who is serious about using tools that do the job effectively and efficiently.

This one kit contains just about every bit you will ever need. I have used it for home improvement and auto repair. I just recently used the torx bit and ratchet to remove three shift solenoids in my GM transmission. The ratchet is very well made and has taken as much torque as I can deliver by hand. The case is compact and has a handy mechanism that folds out to display all the bits. I am a tool guy and this was a great find.
