As with the 1/4 in. drive ratchet, this is one of best ratchets I have owned so far. The multi-position head works real well in tight areas. The push button release and direction control are also easy to use. The handle fits my hand well. The only complaint I have about this tool (the reason for the 4 stars), is the handle needs to be longer. I would even buy an additional ratchet if Wera made one with the handle 3-4 in. longer. It is possible that Wera has longer ones out there, but I have not seen them yet. Wera makes great, long lasting tools, but are expensive. I have found that if you look around the web, there are some deals out there. Great tool.

Picked up this ratchet because I am constantly using a 6" extension to rotate nuts down long studs on my car. I usually use a junky ratchet, take off the extension and socket from the ratchet and spin the nut down until it stops and then tighten with the ratchet. With the Wera Zyklops you can avoid all of that by pressing the swivel release and positioning the ratchet head at a 0 degree angle (straight) and spin the ratchet while holding it on the free-spinning shaft. This makes it SO much nicer than basically taking my ratchet apart to spin a nut, just to put it back together. I do wish that the ratchet had more angles you could lock it at other than 90, 15, and 0 degrees. 45 degrees might be nice, or 60 deg, etc. but as it is designed is just fine. It has 72 teeth which is "fine" enough honestly. I am spoiled with some 84 tooth ratchets but the rotation required between the two is so moderate it would be hard to tell which is which without knowing. Only complaint per se is that I wish the ratchet head was not sealed. I like to lube my ratchets because 9 times out of 10 the manufacturer uses junky lubricant or it breaks down over time. It appears as though the Wera Zyklop has a sealed head which, while it makes it unlikely that lube would leak out, means you cannot lubricate the gears with your favorite lube should the ratchet get loud or gritty (which it shouldn't, but you get the idea).

GREAT ratchet over all - almost feel bad using it for what it is designed for - its nice to look at!

Bought this after my last ratchet stopped working and decided to spend a few extra bucks on this, it was well worth it , I'll probably end up getting the 1/4 and 1/2 ratchets as well , would recommend

A really great drive. Very comfortable to hold in any position. Easy to grip even with greasy paws. Only downfall is that the size of the head impairs getting into tight spots.

Ratchet action is fantastic. Being able to use it in a screwdriver form is handy. Occasionally the head comes unlocked from the screwdriver position while using. It may depend on the socket you're using, as I sent the first one back and the replacement does the same thing. The free spinning plastic thing is handy while in the screwdriver position but can be awkward in the ratchet position, I may remove it. Overall, a great ratchet.

I had ordered the 1/4 inch set for my manufacturing job and after using it I loved it so much I ordered the larger size for my mechanic job as a motorcycle tech. Awesome that it locks in different positions so you can speed a bolt in and then switch position to torque it down. I used to use a roto ratchet and found it annoying that it didn't have lock positions like this one does when using it as a driver for quicker turns

Not that impressed. I own a lot of Wera tools and really like the brand. However the 3/8 ratchet is the exception. I have had two replaced due to a non functioning ratchet assembly....it just failed again the same way. Can't count on it ......I'll go back to the snap on.....needs some design work, I wasn't that tough on it. I've got Craftman ratchets that take more abuse
