Too many of our political leaders, no matter what party badge they wear, worship power and control as their ultimate god!

The author points out that too many Americans have a false idea of what freedom is all about. He reminds us all that true freedom and liberty for any individual demands taking responsibility for words spoken and actions taken.

Collectively, Americans have embraced big government without understanding that by doing so, the freedom they now enjoy is slowly eroding away. Elite, radical liberals are the beneficiaries of our American laissez-faire attitude.

About the Author

An American Senior citizen, with overseas experience, exercizing his freedom to speak out against the dumbing down of America.

Jim Winter was raised on a farm in central South Dakota. He served in the Korean War flying 50 combat missions on a B-26. He holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education.

Jim and his wife Jean spent 23 years in Africa as Missionaries under The United Church of Christ and Five years with private organizations, encouraging people to move up and away from subsistance living.

And then they came home to an America bent on destroying itself with lower standards in every area of life. Jim's reaction was to do some research and then write from his own point of view. He brings reason and mid-western common sense to bear on the troublesome topics discussed and suggests some time-tested remedies.

Jim and Jean enjoy semi-retirement in Jacksonville, Florida. They have three daughters, two with families of their own and one who works overseas in public health.
