The Toy Dolls: We're Mad! the Anthology is such a great collection. It has all their best songs, and even some I'd never heard before. The CD is cheaper at the time I write this, but I could not wait for it to be mailed and bought the MP3 album instead. It's an excellent value for the price, forty-five tracks. Nearly every song is fantastic. I listen to this every day, and my family loves it as much as I do. My two year-old son really enjoys this album, always asking to hear his favorites (Harry Cross, The Devil Went Down to Scunthorpe, Alfie from the Bronx) again and again. Last night he was singing Cheerio and Toodle Pip to himself in the bath. Me, I can't stop listening to The Lambrusco Kid (always a favorite), Charlie's Watching, Back in '79 and Glenda and the Test Tube Baby.
I consider this MP3 album to be the best money I've spent in ages. Makes me feel like a teenager again. I've seen nearly all of the great punk bands play over the years, but I've never seen these guys live. I hope they come to L.A. to play sometime, I'll bet they put on a great show. This music makes me as happy as if I'd inhaled a hot air balloon full of nitrous oxide. Whee! Try it for yourself...

This album amazes me. Disc 1 is stacked with my favorites, 'The Lambrusco Kid', 'Dig That Groove Baby', 'Fiery Jack', and 'Fisticuffs In Frederick Street'. Disc 2 has the original Toy Dolls single, 'Tommy Kowey's Car', and some of their more recent tracks, which are good as well. Most of this album features tracks from the Olga-McKee-and the drummer I forget's name era. Great stuff. Olga is by far the most skilled and consistent musician of the genere. He's so well rounded, and it blows my mind time and time again

Olga is hot...Hah. Anyway, the Toy Dolls are the best. They're funky, very great with their instruments, especially the guitar, and just... fill that gap in punk music around. They're great. Did they go very world wide? I don't know. Not any of my friends know them, but now they do and love them, once I had to let them listen to the band. It's fun to have their music around, the Toy Dolls are soo great I WANNA SEE ONE OF THEIR DAMNED SHOWS!! I'll go to London.. yadeeya... ok have fun people remember to take your steroids O.O
