5.0 out of 5 stars Great for the bonus "cute" songs, October 26, 2001

This review is from: You Were Meant for Me / Cold Song / Rocker (Audio CD)
The main reason why one would like to buy this CD-single is not really the title track; for that you'd better buy the whole album which is full of fantastic songs. For me, the real stars in this single are the two following songs: "Cold Song" and "Rockerboy" which are really straightforward acoustic guitar and vocals, but both sport funny and cute lyrics. Worth paing the price if you're a Jewel fan, otherwise try running into a used copy and you might find it is worth the price to put in your collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Radio Version, April 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: You Were Meant for Me / Cold Song / Rocker (Audio CD)
It was quite a while that I'd been searching for this version of "You Were Meant for Me". The original album version is different - not the same at all like another reviewer claims. She was made to re-record this song for the radio/music video version, which I believe is so much better. I'm assuming the original version was a rush job and she was still new to studio recording - I recall reading somewhere that she cried when she heard her voice on the radio the first time because she didn't like how she sounded.

The two extra tracks are short and cute. Rocker Girl showcases her sense of humor with its silly, playful lyrics - which are adorable and highly enjoyable. I'd highly recommend any fan of hers to get this single.

5.0 out of 5 stars "I'm half alive but I feel mostly dead...", September 12, 2009
This review is from: You Were Meant for Me / Cold Song / Rocker (Audio CD)
You Were Meant For Me is probably Jewel's best song to date. I have all her studio albums but there is something about this song that just takes me back to the good ole days. You Were Meant For Me touched a nerve in me, I first heard this song when I was 14 and I became a Jewel fan instantly. Jewel's angelic voice is so refreshing, and this beautiful ballad reflected that. Gorgeous song and stunning video. Jewel was the folk princess of 1997, my favorite year.
