The economic forecast for most sectors these days are dismal, but the recession's impact on New York's architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industries has been especially dreary. McGraw-Hill Construction reported the value of new construction starts fell 15 percent in 2008, after falling seven percent in 2007.
