Adventure with a unique twist,
By
This review is from: Werewolves (Paperback)
This tale of a neo-nazi plot to take over the world being foiled at the last moment by a brave semi-retired British secret agent and his goddaughter is exciting enough in itself, but toss in one special circumstance: THE NEO-NAZIS ARE WEREWOLVES! I don't know where Mr Ahern came up with the idea, but he carries it off perfectly, and the result is a really fun read. One of my favorite books.

The germans in world war 2 were using werewolves. Current day there using them as shock troops to try to take over the world again. A surprisingly entertaining and surprising book with a frightening cover.

This was one of the best written books I have read, it kept my interest throughout the entire book. The only "slow" time was in the first chapter, but it quickly gained speed.

Posted 04/11/11: If you love stories about Nazi's, WWII and Werewolves, this is the book for you. The story takes place in today's setting but don't let that detour you. The characters were unforgettable and well rounded. The action in this book never stopped. There was even a little romance. I liked this book so much that when I was done I turned around and reread it. I strongly recommend this book.

I gotta admit, it was the cover that prompted me to buy this book; the content, I was a bit skeptical about. Let's face it, between movies and video games, the whole "Nazi/Occult" theme is pretty overworked.
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The authors did a remarkable job with the atmosphere of the story in it's varied aspects and timeframes. Without giving much away, I can tell you that you definitely get the feel for all the different settings that the writers lay before you. The characters are believable and very sympathetic; I found myself very drawn into their lives and their struggle, and had a strong emotional attachment to them, as any well-written story should ellicit. I would highly recommend this story to horror fans, and also those who enjoy historical fiction from the period of World War II.

Fantastic! Should be released again!,
This review is from: Werewolves (Paperback)
I bought this book about 15 years ago. I was in a used book store looking for a good horror novel. I have to say that it is one of the best written, creative, entertaining werewolf stories I have ever read. One of my favorite books, I really wish that it was re-printed so more people had a chance to read it. It is very hard to find. I refuse to loan out my copy!

Just from a glance of the horrifying cover,I bought this book! I was just randomly looking in a grocery isle and BOOM! The cover made me want to see what these horrible monsters were all about. Suspensful, frightning, and rich with details. I pictured the antagonist, Mac, as a bald Sean Connery. WWII, a British special unit is spying on a band of Nazi's holed up in a castle, deep in the german forest. It should be an ambush for the British, but when night falls, and the moon becomes full, that is where the horror began. This book has so many things to write about, but I don't want to give too much away. It's a keeper.
