Werner Model FTP6210 is a 10 foot Type 1A 300 pound duty rating fiberglass tripod stepladder. Tripod stepladders give you some unique advantages compared to a typical stepladder. The single rear leg can span over obstructions better than the rear section of a typical stepladder, including being placed through roughed-in walls. A tripod ladder can also be placed close to the wall without having to be turned sideways and perpendicular to your work area. It is ideal for working comfortably around trees, poles, corners or other areas where you need to be especially close to your work. Features include double riveted slip resistant steps; replaceable, slip resistant feet and a convenient Tool-Tra-Top with a drill holster and paint can holder. The highest standing level on this or any stepladder is 2 feet from the top.

Finally, a ladder that can make a 56 year old woman feel safe - and sane - while perched up in my 25 year old apple trees. The tripod design makes it easier to get up close to the trunk and in the center of the tree. The wide front legs make it stable on uneven ground. It is fantastic for pruning and picking fruit, when you've also got heavy equipment and loads to deal with. I expect to be able to keep my trees well pruned and well picked for years to come. Yes, it is heavy, but that is what makes it stable, and I can carry it myself.

This tripod step ladder is perfect for trimming trees and tall hedges. I only gave it 4 stars because it is a little awkward to carry because of its wide bottom.

I was very pleased to finally get my tripod ladder. It should make all of my tree work much easier and safer. I debated whether to get the 6 foot ladder or 8 foot. I decided on 6 foot and I believe that that will be just what I need. (I am an older person and don't want to climb too high while attending to my fruit trees.) I was very pleased to see how well made the ladder appears to be with extra reinforcing with the front two legs. The weight is not excessive so I should manage carrying my ladder around without too much difficulty. I am a very happy customer at this point and after I have used the ladder in early spring I will update this review. I expect I will be able to say that the ladder works very well for me.
