My parakeets love this. I immediately removed the wire which was useless and replaced it with a cup hook on the back. I have three birds and one has decided this is his and he works on it off and on all day. I can't wait to see him get in it. I am ordering another one.

I received the kozy keet nest on Monday and by this evening one of my parakeets has already figured out how it works and started the chewing. It's fun getting to watch my bird go at it. I'm also impressed by the size and just how much fun my bird seems to be having with it. I don't know who came up with this product but it was a brilliant idea. I think I am going to enjoy watching my birds hollow it out just as they will enjoy doing it.

I have toys for my parakeets and they never really seem to get into them but at least one of my parakeets has already taken to this toy. I think that says a lot. At first I wasn't sure it was worth the cost but in the end, it definitely is!

It took her awile to figre it out and then within a weeks time she has it hollowed out enough that she can get in there. I wish I had one of these for my last parakeet.

My parotletts like this log to chew on. I gave it a 4 star because the hanger wire is thin & it came loose on one end.

My two parakeets loved hollowing out this toy. Then I looked into the hole they had created and noticed that the wire that holds the toy extends almost to the center on either end. As the birds hollowed out the toy, they expose the wire.
Although the wire is thin, it is consistently jabbing the birds the entire time they are tunneling to the ends. I cut the wire on the end I could reach, and tried to push the wire against the end that I couldn't get the scissors into. This is really a pretty sadistic toy. On the one had the birds absolutely love to hollow it out, but as they do they are tortured by the wire jabbing them the whole time. The ads for the toy claim the log is held by sisal, but sisal probably didn't work because the bird would chew it and the toy would fall. They substituted wires, but now the birds are being jabbed by the wires. I hope the manufacturer really cares enough about birds to do something about this toy.
Until they do, I would not buy it.

For three parakeets! I read many reviews about the dreaded wire but out of desperation, unable to find a similar toy, bought it. I was ready to pull it out of the cage at the first hint of wire but never one little hint of one. Maybe a new design! Thanks amazon for carrying this great bird nest!

It took a few days before my parakeets started chewing on this but once they discovered it they loved it! It makes a mess but they are having alot of fun and love to climb inside it. They wire is thin but it seems to be just fine. This is the third Kozy Keet I've bought and have not had any problems.

i bought this three months ago and the parakeets ignore it, in fact i think they are still a little afraid of it. i place food in the hole and they might come over and peck a little but largely it's just taking up room. i can't say it's the nest or my birds are the problem.
