Just got the new Bumi and it's great. My dog loves it and it's her favorite new toy. She plays with this toy by herself, and also as a pull toy with me. I purchased the large size, my dog is 50 pounds. She has other toys from West Paw and they all have held up to her constant chewing. I recommend West Paw!

I thought this thing might snap in two when we played tug-o-war with it... but, as promised, it stretched out and then went right back to it's shape with no problem at all! This, like everything else I have from West Paw, is very well made. Solid construction, it floats... It's fantastic!

A genuine thank you to West Paw design! :) You guys have my business forever!

And to those whose dog destroyed the bumi... Train your dog to not be destructive! This is a toy... not a chew bone! Sheesh, my dogs are huge and tough on this toy and it's fine.

Got the Bumi, Gave it to the dogs. Ten minutes later it was in 3 pieces. This is not a toy for German Shepherds. I sent it back per their guarantee and I STILL don't have a replacement. I do like their HUCK ball. It can handle the shepherds and their play. The game my dogs play is: get a toy, run around herding each other (7 of them)with toys in their mouths. They ALL have to have a toy to carry. They usually do not sit and chew on a toy.

Our dog has one mission in life: destroying hard and soft toys alike. He pulls chunks out of the brand X toys at the local department store in no time. For quality toys, he can pull pieces off a large red Kong toy without much effort. He's even wrecked a couple of the black Kong "Extreme" toys (which, incidentally, are not indestructible). He has not managed to do much to this other than scuff it!

This and the other toys we've gotten from West Paw have held up wonderfully. They don't skimp on the amount of material they use, so you can get toys from them that are literally a thick, solid piece of material.

Dog is happy.

I'm returning this to the manufacturer, in pieces. My year old boxer/lab mix chewed it to pieces, although he did have to work at it. It took less than a week. Most toys last an hour or two.

I highly recommend Zogoflex toys by West Paw Design! Our 11 month old weimaraner is a chewing machine. She rips through every toy we've given her, including kong toys. A lot of money down the drain, until we discovered these Zogoflex toys! They are amazingly durable... like something from NASA! We got her one of every style they make. West Paw... if you're listening... PLEASE MAKE MORE ZOGOFLEX TOY DESIGNS! We will buy them!!

I own (and Love!) a 95-pound male German Shepherd. He is a Shutzhund trained dog with one heck of a firm strong bite! His toys are never left out for him to chew on -- they only come out of the toy container when we play or work with him. That said . . . he destroys nearly every toy we purchase in just a couple play sessions because his bite and tugging are so strong. We have spent so much on money on toys that purported to be made for "tough" use by big dogs, only to be disappointed in the quality. Only 2 toys have ever lasted a whole year: the Kong black extra heavy duty and the Bumi toy! I was pleasantly surprised with the durability of this flexible tug. It is fun to throw and chase, has withstood a summer in the pool and lots of tugging. I also use it as a retrieve toy when training the hurdle.

Yay! One toy that was worth the money!!

I purchased this product after using the Hurley and the Ball. Both of those are great products and have held up for 3 months now. However, within the first week, this product tore at one of the joint points. My dogs were playing tug-o-war with this thing like crazy though. If you have a single dog, this might be fine. However, it failed in my household test. I still have it, and they are pulling off a chunk at a time, but it's not to the point where I have tiny shreds all over my living room floor, so that is nice.

We have a French and English Bulldog, they love to chew and they love to play tug. Our bulldog can destroy a chew toy in under 3 hours and the Frenchie takes a couple days but at this rate we could be dropping lots of money on dog toys and we have looking for the right and durable toy. This toy gives them the satisfaction on their gums so they don't go looking to chew on my bra or on our shoes. The toy is fun to toss around and play fetch because it is unpredictable where it will land and our Frenchie loves that sort of play. Very durable and comes in cool colors. We are looking at getting the other toys from this company too.

I have a 10 month old pit mix rescue who is a heavy chewer and this is the only toy that she has not destroyed in a matter of minutes. I've had it now about 5 months and it doesn't even have a mark on it after heavy (daily) use. I would recommend this toy to anyone who has a heavy chewer in their household.
