My wife and I have been seeking a ball that our dog would enjoy for retrieving, and yet when we're not paying attention he won't be able to gnaw to obliteration. Our dog loves to play fetch, but when we're done, he's not. He'll take his ball and proceed to discombobulate it out of existence. This ball now has endured over 3 months of "Release the Kracken" attacks and still is holding up as new, save for obvious scratch marks from use. At this rate it appears it will last indefinitely or at the very least as originally designed. I'm sure this thing will still be there for the space alien archeologists' dog-thing to play with.

It is a plastic that is rigid and not a squeeze toy. It does float and can be used in the pool.

My dog loves this toy so much. It is a great toy for him because it bounces around and is super strong so he can't destroy it within seconds like he does with tennis balls. What I loved most about this toy is that he actually doesn't really like tennis balls anymore and has stopped stealing other dogs tennis balls and stopped barking at other people to throw their tennis balls. It also floats, so it is great to play fetch in a pool or lake with.

West Paw makes a great product and it is very durable. Only down side is that you can't bounce it like a regular ball, because of the grooves it will bounce in different directions.

My black lab loves this ball! She hasn't been able to chew it up and it's a fun shape so she doesn't get bored with it.

I purchased this ball this spring and my dog, a one year old border collie/rat terrier has not been able to completely destroy it; just has chewed a little bit off. He has destroyed several frisbees. He loves this ball and so do I. I would definitely recommend it if you have a dog that chews.

My Jack Russell Terrier or Terror as we refer to him loves new balls especially those that bounce irregularly. This ball was just too hard to play with inside and even a little big for our 17 lb dog. Really disappointed with this toy.

I was hoping it was smaller when it arrived. It is too big for my dog. He can't fit the ball in his mouth. He is not touching it anymore.

My dog loves this thing. She's a 35lb Australian Cattle Dog mix and she loves chasing things down. The odd shape is great because it gives it a strange bounce so it goes all over the place sometimes. It feels very sturdy, and I haven't seen any damage on it since purchasing it at least 4 months ago. Bonus is that it's made in the US and not from plastic.

I purchased the ball version in the small for my Jack Russell Terrier and although it held up pretty good for a while she eventually did break off a piece on the ridge part of this ball.....I really think they should make the whole ball smooth...then she wouldnt have anywhere to grab her teeth...I will be sending the damaged one back, cause of the guarantee with this product....I just recently purchased the bone version and so far so good...but my dog is a very aggressive chewer and only time will tell? I recommend the bone version due to its smoothness and nowhere for the teeth to grip...

We have had quite a few of these since our dogs tend to lose them easily. But they absolutely LOVE them!! And they are indestructable! We recently bought some of the other West Paw products (frisbee and the funny twisted thing) and they like those too. The only drawback is the price, since they get lost frequently by our guys, but if you get the free shipping Amazon is they best price.
